Quite right too. I look at the direction of car design with increasing dismay. Radar hazard warning systems  isn't that the driver's job?

As a matter of fact, I just remembered that a teenage girl talking and making a right-hand turn at a busy street light intersection almost ran me over. I had the green pedestrian walk signal and the right-of-way. I was walking toward her and I know she saw me. She gunned her car and tried to drive in front of me then changed her mind and swerved behind me. This was the first and only time that I felt the need to punch a girl.

My wife's sister has a Red Light Cam picture of her going thru a redlight. She is seen putting her make up on.

You can do what the hell you like Rich, as long as it doesn't effect other people, which talking and texting on your mobile phone while driving does / can.

I have no problem driving and talking on a phone. Any more than the average ah player has while in a dog fight and talking on team speak. How ever I have been killed in AH several times TXTing and flying. Hell I've seen women in my rear view putting makeup on otw to work several times last weak. TxTing and driving should be treated as a DUI as far as I'm concerned.

Oh and on a side note their is a tow truck company that will stage flat bed tow trucks at a bar ( closing time) and charge three times the amount of a cab driver to take both him or her safely home and his or her vehicle. Y'all Might want to start that in your areas of the country.

I have a problem with you driving and talking on a phone. Talking on the phone can be just as distracting as texting, and studies have shown that it may be just as dangerous as driving while impaired. Talking on the phone while driving is against the law here in CA. Unfortunately the law never seems to be enforced. It may be because the cops are to busy talking on their cell phones to notice.

Anything that distracts the operator of a motor vehicle should be discouraged, and I mean anything. Personally I don't care if you kill yourself, it's when you try to kill me that I get upset. So if you want go ahead and smoke those cigarettes, drink that super big gulp, and eat all the fried twinkies your heart desires, just not while you're driving.

As far as your BS studies go its the same as all studies. You set out to make a point and find the best way to make it, then write a paper and call it a study that proves your BS point.

I, personally, am not trying to presume that the woman (who admittedly was distracted by using her phone) that caused the accident that I was involved in requiring me to have my fancy hardware installed was trying to kill me.

But...  

I am quite thankful she wasn't trying to do it intentionally, because she came pretty damn close without even trying...

A web form or a letter, describing the incident, along with the date, time, specific place, make/model of the vehicle, and a description of the driver. They have been known to contact the driver in writing, and at times, have made requirements of them or require a road test.

A dashboard or gopro cam footage would really get the authorities attention.

Honestly if you insist on talking on your cell phone while driving I would prefer you spend more of your time in the woods looking for bigfoot and less on the roadways.
