There's a 1/32 Superfortress available but it's a blow mold kit for the experienced. Here it is with a 1/48 scale one for size comparison.

No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

Does anyone know of a good source for swastika decals? I have a bunch of German planes on the go and they just sorta look wrong.

Yeah, I'm looking at using a bunch of the Eduard PE sets. Problem is there seems to be very little in the way of after-market kits for the F4F-3 otherwise. Aires has an F4F-4 cockpit and gun bay set, (of dubious use for the -3 I'm building) there's the PE sets by Eduard, and Vector has a really nice R-1830 kit, but that's about all I've been able to find. Everything is for 190s or 109s, and late-war American iron (there's a TON of stuff out there for the F4U-1 series). Really wish I could find a new canopy, since apparently Trumpeter kit's has problems displaying in the "open" position (too thick or too small to fit over the fuselage spine) and some new main wheels since there's some accuracy problems in the brake vents on the kit part.

I'm looking at getting this to use as a display base. I'd love to put some ground crew in there, and maybe one of the deck tractors, but once again I'm having trouble finding anything appropriate in 1/32 scale. For some reason it seems the only WWII figure sets people want to make in that scale are Luftwaffe or German army. :P

I'm also looking at an aftermarket set for the Browning .50cal since this would be displayed with the gun bays open. Aires has two versions for the wing installation, one that used mechanically-driven feed belts, and one that was electric. Does anyone know which would have been used the F4F-3? I'm assuming the mechanical drive would have come first, but wanted to be sure.

Anyone have an answer for this one? Would really like to know which version to go with.

Incidentally, the kit came today. Looks like it ought to be a beauty, especially with aftermarket details. Masking and painting the roundels for one of those Enterprise Wildcats might be a bit of an issue. The largest mask I've found so far is a 60" roundel, but the ones in the kit scale to 72". Might have to make my own mask.

Also, has anyone else seen another photo of the VF-6 Wildcats from that period? F-18 is the clearest one, but was wondering if there better pics of other aircraft in that scheme (c. March 1942) out there.
