Frankly I don't think it would take anywhere near as long as you think it would to transfer some of the LW game mechanics to WWI.

Maybe not, but you have to figure 3-6 months for each plane. Spec research, wire frame modeling, art work inside and out. Adding 3 new planes to WWI would take a year by it's self.

So there's some other process they use in the LWMA?  I ask because they've added far more than three planes over the past year not to mention updating others and adding a ton of GV's, adding graphic features, fixing bugs, etc., etc., etc..

Wonder about vice-versa. I'd love to have the more detailed damage model from WWI in the other arenas. Which I thought was the plan to begin with.  :headscratch:

Saxman: We *have* a more detailed damage model than before. It has more elements on any given wing or fuselage that can be damaged without catastrophic loss. It will never resemble the WW1 arena, though. Those are unique to the design and materials used in WW1 aircraft, and do not apply to WW2 aircraft.

Per HTC comment, that kind of damage is only for WW1, and won't be seen in the main arenas.
