perked ords system...   

We were talking about this the other night. If 1000 lb eggs were to be perked on fighters, would that stop these big Jabo herds? Possible but doubtful IMO. I think they would just use 110s or Typhoons to gun the hangers down quickly. It would be interesting to see how a perk on ords would affect these missions.

The typhoon wouldn't really be able to gun hangers down all that well. A P-51D would likely still be a better option, everything taken into account. Same with the P-38, and just about anything.

And we would have more warning time (and an easier fight) if they brought 110's, or 410's, or mossies.

I happen to love the P-38, if it wasn't for the twinfork boys (Delerium, Ack-ack, lazer, baloo, list goes for a mile) I would never of touched it, but I think it was Delerium who challenged me to fly it a tour, and I've been flying the 38J ever since.

I can't quite fly the 38G or 38L (they seem off to me) and the bulletproof glass in the G just screws my aim to hell, only thing I could ask is to try the 38H.

H had the same canopy and the same bulletproof glass as the G.
