I got Adobe Lightroom 5 today and I've been having a blast with pictures all night. Here's a few that I've done.

I've used Lightroom since version 2.  Using 4 now.  I didn't feel like I got that much going from 3-4, and have been wondering if the upgrade to 5 is worth it.  Honestly even in 4, I never use the "map" "web" or "book"  modules.  So I kinda wonder if 5 will just be even more stuff I never use.

What has 5 got over 4 that I'll actually use?

No idea honestly. This is the first version I've had of it. Never used it before.

Try it here, I month free; I used LR3 never had 4, I didn't have much time for photography ; I downloaded this free trial last weekend and played with it for half hour, the only difference I noticed is GPS tag mapping; cool feature ; but I believe was introduced in lr4,: I will pay for it at the end of free trial.

Rather than start a whole new thread on photography I will just post these two here. I used an 8" Orion telescope, a 2x Barlow adapter, a T-ring Camera mount and a Canon Rebel T2i to take these. I have no idea how much zoom it is but it was the equivalent to having a 2400mm lens on the camera.

This picture was tricky. I had to take a normal exposure to capture the detail of Jupiter. Then I overexposed the next one to capture the moons. I used Adobe Photoshop to combine the two and create this image.

Edit: Wow! Photobucket totally killed the quality of both images....

Needed a new background image for Twitter and and Facebook pages...

Late one recent evening, had an idea. I went out and grabbed a horse blanket and range boots from the back of the Jeep. Collected a few items from the gun rack and hat rack. Added a few more from my range bag. Using the living room sofa, with the LED high hat lighting, I arranged things a bit, and fetching my Canon, shot this. Perfect? Hardly. Spur of the moment. But, it suited the purpose, I reckon....
