Pointing a loaded weapon at someone, whether accidentally or unintentionally presents a dangerous situation; one in which any LEO has the responsibility to protect those in harms way.

Where did I mention felony? Disobeying the rules, some of which are laws, will result in arrest. Furthermore, after the first warning, further disobeying the rules, again, some of which are laws and disobeying a LEO telling you to stop breaking such rules/laws can be construed as obstructing law enforcement.

Do you spend much time at shooting ranges? Sure doesn't seem like it. Try screwing around at an AZ shooting range and see what happens.

I belong to a sportsman club.   You are the gun owner that screws over everyone else.   If you don't realize the error in your posts, you might consult an LEO.   You do not live in the Wild West, although you seem to think it.

It is sad to see irresponsibility such as that.  Destruction of property by any means is a sad deal.

I'm so very glad I belong to a private club. Being able to drive up, swipe to card over the reader and have the gate open is a nice touch. Also knowing that when I get around the berm I'm not going to have the local ghetto monkeys sporting their baggy pants and irresponsible behavior is a nice feeling as well. My range caps membership at 250 people and the members need to be very careful or else they are shown the door.  The $50 a year is a steal for membership dues considering the security, the variety of ranges to shoot at (pistol 5-25yd, rifle 25-300yd), etc.

I don't know how serious your Range Master(s) take their jobs at your ranges. But, here, light messing around is likely to result in a stern warning with Master's hand on his sidearm. Anything more than light messing around is likely going to be met with a Master's sidearm
 pointed at your face.

:huh Ahh... drinking and firearms.  Both are so much better when combined.

That range sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

Wiley.

It's next to a gravel road, my state is completely covered by a grid of gravel roads every mile N/S and E/W.  Teens & Young adults who have no place to drink or smoke pot will drive up and down them at low speed while intoxicating themselves at night because they don't get patrolled and it's nearly impossible to get lost for more than 10 minutes.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

I belong to a sportsman club.   You are the gun owner that screws over everyone else.   If you don't realize the error in your posts, you might consult an LEO.   You do not live in the Wild West, although you seem to think it.

Do you live in some podunk town where you never have any problems? Have you ever gone to a range with a large metro population nearby? Here often there is a wait even in 100degrees to get a lane. If so, then I can understand your unfamiliarity with ppl misbehaving at one, otherwise you're intentionally being obtuse for what reason I'm unaware.

I'm not talking about sportsman's club or these public shooting ranges that are unsupervised. Furthermore, I wouldn't be attending any public/unsupervised range. With all the gangbangers in Phoenix, it very well could become the wild west at one. And not in the so called fantasy way that you believe I for some reason live in.

Errors in my post, so which LEO you want me to call to discuss it with, I have numerous LEO friends here in AZ, a couple in CA, and an Uncle in IL, which one shall I discuss with? Which error?

I'm trying to spell it out clearly for you since you seem to have comprehension problems, but I can't find the article where we had a Range Master shoot a misbehaving patron at the range I visit most frequently. You know the reason why I can't find the article in a cursory web search: http://www.azcentral.com/community/scottsdale/articles/20120826scottsdale-gun-club-shooting.html

Every search yields the instances above where we've had suicides and a murder suicide at that private range...

Von: I didn't say it was the first course of action, and nor did I say it was for less than egregious behavior, I said the lesser type of behavior would get a warning, followed by ejection.

The Sheriff Joe of AH:  I'd like to take that as a compliment, but there are way too many more in here that meet that description before I do. But thanks anyway, Sheriff Joe is awesome!

Finally I guess I have to ask those of you who seem to think things are vastly different than I describe in a place you don't visit. What is your definition of messing around, or misbehaving at a shooting range? I can't comprehend LEO or Range M/O's acting in any other way but to make sure their patrons are safe from those behaving carelessly with firearms.

"Worst kind of human being"???  Do you really think he would order the sheep in to your bedroom?

Seriously, relax and enjoy the entertainment and don't take this stuff too seriously.  You making statements like that is a bit over the top.   :aok

on second thought... maybe it isn't?   :headscratch:

You making statements like that is a bit over the top.   :aok

you could be right :)

however as I said in my reply, it is not just the quoted text, but rather the cumulative effect of everything I have seen posted by RotBaron that has given me this extremely negative impression of him.

reading his posts gives me dou che chills. especially ones like we see above about asking all his LEO friends to prove him right in an internet argument :lol

of course, i'd be the first to admit it's a bit over the top to judge someone's personality entirely by their postings on an internet message board - no one knows more than i do that a lot of the time it's just a lot of BSing to pass the time :aok
