Anyone know how long it takes for the map to get approved?

You might be able to download it by spawning a custom arena and choosing the terrain. Then you could fly around in it or even use the CM Eye feature and zoom around in it and hover over stuff to look at the work.

That would be like looking at Fester in his underwear.

There are many terrains to choose from that aren't in the game rotation. As long as it has been uploaded and accepted by the upload system, you should be able to see it...even if it is never approved by HTC for the Main Arena rotation.
