Scott, that's how sad it is,i will have to find you on 2000 miles of map to get some fun, while your flying you have time to scout the BBS, that's not a action packed game at all.
I have done 13 years of aces and the rough sum is $2400 of my money, its not chook feed, i could buy into many new games that charge once off.
I love FSO but its not worth it  anymore, this is just a pile of toejam.
Over and out and i couldn't give a rats for aces, love the time spent when it worked but its now just history, and history not in a good way.
Cheers Ht  for doing nothing to get new blood.,

Scott, you will find people to play with its a good game that's not the problem, and there are so many great people that play the game , the only reason the game is good is due to the players, the game itself in 2013 is toejam.
I don't need a hug, this game doesn't or wouldn't control my life, i am just stating what the softcoks will not, 35 in game, half that is in tower?
Its just my time once again to rage quit, i have had more than 10 names and never been the ego ace, it was all about fun , that's been long gone.

What do you want us to do about the low numbers? We've got no control on how many players are on or in the tower, so why are you coming here to complain about it. Your beef....beefie, is with the front office.

Those sitting in the tower are there because they went to bed and don't want to miss out of those perk points if their side wins. It happens a lot...especially on the same maps.

This is typical during times when the west coast of the USA goes to bed. The vast reaches of the pacific are populated mostly by fish during their local prime-time and fish have a lousy internet connection. The game could definitely use more Jap/Aussie/Kiwi, perhaps Korean players to cover that time gap.

P.S.
Big maps suck on EU and US prime time also. Don't tell me Compello map is on again...

That'ss quite an assumption. ;)

In fact, there's always a sizeable number of players in tower simply due tot he fact that about nobody is flying sorties nonstop. People are selecting loadouts in hangars, just been sent to tower by an enemy, looking at the map to find out where to go next, waiting for a mission to begin, going to the fridge to grab another beer... all those are shown as "in tower".
The main difference during low activity times is that the # of players sitting in tower just staring at the map in search for action is just higher than at peak times. But even at peak usually about 1/4th to 1/3rd of all players are being 'in tower'

That's quite an assumption that you think I'm assuming. I know for a fact people stay logged in when they go to bed if the map is close to being won. Not all in the tower i'll grant ya that, but I bet 1/4 do at least.

See, that's now a very much different statement than your initial one:

Those sitting in the tower are there because they went to bed and don't want to miss out of those perk points if their side wins.

Quit sending them to the tower if you don't want them there.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

uh...this is a real pain when there's low numbers! I stopped playing in the early morning hours because of this.

ENY can go up to stupid high numbers. Making play really suck for some players.

Plus it doesn't even account for the players still logged on and in flight that are hiding somewhere to get war win perk points! Some just park right out in the open.

When you see big name players that are constantly landing kills logged on and no activity with their name and they won't respond to texts, that's a big clue. There are less obvious ones but it ruins play for those that are active.

Another LAME thing some players do that ruins fun for others.
