So, tonight I was leading a small section of KI-61's. We had reports of P40's at the edge of the map; just off 0/10 kp 7. Speculation was that they were covering for bombers that may be further out into no-mans land. I took my handful of guys from {The Gun Fighters} who had attached themselves to me post first contact, and we shot over to see what we could find. We got to the edge, looked around, and didn't see anyone. I started a lazy right turn with the intention to head back to base, and to CAP the field we were defending: A-45. When POP! I was back in the tower! I was immediately followed by one or two of my wingmen who had been in close formation.
Our tail-end Charlie saw us explode and managed to pull up in time to avoid a collision with what I can only assume was a nano-tube-reinforced-clear-aluminium-( a nod to Star Trek the Voyage Home) -indestructible-glass wall that shot to 26K! <InCrypt grits teeth>
My first question: Who put that thing there! LOL
Seriously though, I don't ever remember there being an edge of map boundary that would put you in the tower. Am I wrong? Has it always been that way? Or is this a new "Feature" - which I'm not opposed to - but gosh, It's got to be announced a bit more strenuously!
Let me know, because it was a sudden and abrupt end to what was shaping up to be an interesting frame.
