Seriously this whole breast cancer awareness- make everything pink, 'I heart Boobies' sweaters, t-shirts, bracelets, energy drinks, etc.. is starting to get on my nerves.  Only because when it comes to cancer there are more dangerous and deadly cancers that don't get nearly as much attention simply because they aren't a sexy part of the female anatomy.

Maybe we need a colon cancer awareness campaign... with brown ribbons... and 'I heart Pooping' pants...

I am a cancer survivor. So I am not at all insensitive when it comes to cancer causes. BUT

Until they show that the value of a mans life is equal to that of a woman and  donate as much attention to mens cancers who kill at least as as many men a year as women cancers kill women. You will never see me wear pink nor donate in any way shape or form to breast cancer awareness.

My wife's got breast cancer so I guess I'm the odd one out.

we should donate to cancer research after all it also helps men.  however I never participate in those "pink walk for the cure" scams.  as that's what they are, I also never buy products that make a lot of money and send a few pennies to cancer research.  and then again after all the billions of dollars we have donated if some company finds "a cure" guess what they own the patent and will make billions of dollars in profits.

so sometimes I wonder why we should donate money?.  the companies that sponsor the "walk for the cure" type and those that will send a few pennies if you buy their products make money, the company that finds a cure will make money even if they used money we donated.

but to be fair dredlock, I paid 30 bucks so have a colonoscopy done, they removed 2 nods that were pre-cancerous.  second time it happens in 15 years.  my gf also pays 30 bucks to have mammograms done.  I guess it all depends on your insurance.
