No pictures on this forum involve my hitch in the Navy other than:



VP-67 'Golden Hawks' (aka 'Thunderchickens') P-3A Moffett Field (visiting from NAS Memphis) roudabout '82 methinks.

Thanks but I had it easy. There's vets on the forum that have been shot at (some may have been hit).

i was here in 82...

San Diego Basic in`81 here. Company 109. Company Commander BM2 Karo. Got there in May.

ya in 81, i was at mcrd s.d. right next door to the airport and the squid boot camp...had to go there once for dental hygiene day.  :lol

I was the recruit dental P.O. for my company. Next you know, we both were serviced by the same Tijuana hooker.  :O :cheers:

(edit: I typed 'squad' instead of 'company.' That's what happens when you have more years in flight sims than you actually served in the military.)

:rofl   :lol  :rofl  :lol  as much time as i spent in tj, i would not be surprised. stayed at the king edward hotel downtown a good bit and spent many nights at the sans souci club. if you were a p.o. in 81 you out ranked my boot recruit azz.

 :headscratch:  come to think of it, there was a p.o. who handed my platoon the dixie cups with the fluoride rinse poisoned us...had us all bent over garbage cans in the hallway. i hope that wasn't you...even after that many years i have wanted revenge.

It was a 'recruit rank.' It was supposed to earn me E-2 before graduation. Didn't though.
