Flung off cv

Last night on final approach "my" CV was in a turn on a set triangle pattern ,just at the end of the CV turn i was about wheels on deck (hard rudder) but on a good straight path ,i was in an f4u1 hook down gear down i landed about 5Th catch cable in my hook caught and immediately flung me off the back off the CV to my death.

A squadie and I were talking about this the other day. He had been flung off the back of the cv and said he had thought that HTC had fixed that bug. Which I'm pretty sure he has. I haven't tested it since the last update, but I did when it was first fixed, and as long as the cv is going straight you can go full power with your hook down and not get flung off the back of the cv. When it happened to him a second time we came to the conclusion that it happens when the cv is turning. He was in a -1A both times.

Angles. I believe there's no problem on even a turning CV is you can manage to hit the deck perfectly perpendicular. The CV can be running straight and sometimes when you trap at an angle you're gonna get flung. I haven't tested the theory lately but I remember back-ups with a hook down would also result in a fling.

Hence why i brought this up...I thought it was fixed.
Ty for input guys,htc and skuzzy tend to ignore this stuff and we never know if there (still) is an issue.

It was in a triangle pattern with the apex to the north ,the ship was going north, turning on the apex to the  right and finishing south by south east.

I went into the TA and tested this and couldn't really get flung off the back of the cv. I did have a few traps while the cv was turning where I got to close to the left hand side of the deck the plane would spin around and fall off, but never flung off like it use to do. Every time I landed close to the middle of the deck I had a successful trap no matter how much rudder or throttle I had input. I tried several different landing configurations, high approach, low approach, fast, slow, with the cv turning both right and left, and the only time I unintentionally left the deck was as I described above. I tried landing from all angles as well as backing up and going full throttle with the hook down, and I didn't get flung off the deck. For the record you can't back up with the hook down, and you don't move even with WEP if the hook's down. I did the tests in a birdcage corsair with 50% fuel. I filmed the tests but unfortunately the cv and plane are not synced up in my films.

The only other thing i would add is there was another plane (looked like to be re arming) at the time at the same point that i touched down at. Wish i had the film now.

Yes a turning cv will sometimes slingshot you backwards if your plane has a tail hook. I really don't know the parameters for it to happen, throttle position, plane alignment with the cv, etc.

I've lost perk points getting flung off a turning cv several times. So now, if in a -4 and low on perks, I just fly to a land base or ditch beside the cv if it's turning.

Nothing more frustrating than losing perks to an odd quirk of the game.

A"fixed" quirk at that,just ask HTC.

I'll continue trying to replicate the issue as I'm now curious to see what is happening. I'll also talk to my squadie and see if he remembers any other details about it.
