+10 on the C.2005.

Great top speed, excellent climb rate, well above average firepower with the 3x20 and 2x0.50s. My guess is it will turn like the 205 though when I look at the size of that rudder....I can see that thing stall fighting, stomp on the rudder like an F4U.

Make it high on the list of new fighters.

According to Wikipedia there were more G.55's built than C.205's.  274 G.55's and only 262 C.205"s.  I know Wikipedia isnt right about everything, but in this case they are most definitely right, since their number support my wish. LOL. 

BRING US THE Fiat G.55, pretty please.  :pray

Actually there were far more C.205s built then the G.55. The RLM did not like the G.55 for a few reasons, for one it was a much better aircraft then the 190/109 (this came from a german test pilot) however the real problem was really production. I forget the number, AKAK said it once that the Germans could build 3 or 4 Me109G's vs one G.55. When you consider you can build 100 Me109s vs only 30 G.55 it makes sense, especially late in the war when planes and factories are dropping like flies.

I don't think the G.55 would be a hanger queen, honestly it doesn't matter if it would be, it served in combat and flew combat missions - this is the criteria needed to be added in aces high. Tell me does this not look sexy?!

It was a common aircraft, the last squadron used Re.2005's at the end of the war, which woudl be another addition to aces high




Tell me these are not some sexy skins as well! :)

Empty weight: 2,630 kg (5,798 lb)
Loaded weight: 3,520 kg (7,760 lb)
Wing loading=34 pounds/foot

This is pretty light, indicating good maneuver capacity.

1475 horsepower/7760 lbs=.19 HP/pound

This is similar to the power/mass of the P-51D in AHII. If the G.55 could be expected to have a similar climb rate from the deck to 10K or so in game, that would be very respectable.

417mph@~23K on WEP...this figure is remarkably similar to that of the F4U-1A in AHII. If speeds are also similar deck to the 10K, would be a popular MA ride.

People say the G 55 and 2005 are similar to the 205. The p40's are similar, the P47 25 and 40 are similar , the FW190 A8 and F8 are the same ( except ord loadout) as far as performance.As far as production, the La7 was end of the war plane, yet it is very poplar.
