Thrustmaster Trigger Problem using GUI
« on: November 25, 2013, 07:10:41 AM »
The hostas warthog trigger has a two position switch.  Using the GUI software I have it set to fire Primary guns at part pull then when pulled all the way, fire all guns.  As of the last couple of days, on occasions, when I pull the trigger part ways or all the way I get no gun fire.  I have tested the switch and the software but can not get it to repeat outside of AH.

Anybody else experience this problem?

I posted the problem here since I am using the GUI software.

Got this one figured out.  The answer might help someone else.  My brother suggested I attempt to recreate the problem using the keyboard which eliminated the joystick and GUI program from the test.

The joystick has a 4-way thumb button.  I had recently changed one function on that button to display damage(Ctrl-D) only as long as I held the button down then when released it sent a pulse Ctrl-D signal to clear the screen.  You can do neat things like that with the GUI  At tense times, my thumb would accidentally actuate the thumb button.  That generated a constant Ctrl-D input to AH at that instant.

If you are firing weapons and press Ctrl-D the weapons firing still works.  If you hit a function with a hold down Ctrl function in it and then try to fire weapons, the weapons will not fire.  As an example what AH software was seeing when firing all weapons after holding down the damage button was a Ctrl-D-N input which is meaningless to AH.

This is of course not an AH problem since Ctrl is used to alter keyboard buttons commands.
