vraciu this is the second time that somebody has pointed out to you that the graphics are being updated.   however another problem you maybe facing is that you dont have the hardware to make the game look better.  you cant expect to play the game on a 300 dollar laptop and whine that graphics look crappy.  there's a few of us that have spent 2 or 3 times what the average player spent on their system  and graphics look pretty cool.  not as cool as war thurder but when you compare the full game and not just the graphics then you realize that aces high comes out on top.

with the new graphics update comes out, I am lucky enough that I will be able to afford a few things to take full advantage of the new graphics engine, I hope.  it doesnt help anybody when people just blurt things out like "game looks crappy and dated" without being specific and that includes actually posting your systems specs.

Well, it's a little harder for a 109 to rope a Ki84.  Good climb and if I kick off the combat trim, I can pop some flaps out and just hang on the prop for a few seconds.

I max out the graphics and they are fine.  It's not Clifts of Dover, Rise of Flight or DCS good...but they are not terrible!  Get over it dude...it's the gameplay that's important!

I agree I agree.  Don't get me wrong.  I am just thinking in terms of getting and retaining newer players is all...

I will mess with my vid settings next time I play to get the proper perspective.  I am assuming they are not on the highest level but rather default.  I just didn't expect people to jump down my throat over it.  If this is the way new players are treated THAT is what puts you all in trouble.

You may be right.  I haven't been on to check what settings I am using to report back to you guys, but I will.  I have a pretty good video card so hopefully I will be able to ramp it up.


I fully understand how it works.  Warbirds updates were the primary hardware driver for me over many years.

I may have spoken too soon.   Maybe things have changed and I just don't see it because of my settings.  I will definitely look.  I appreciate the input. <S>

What exactly do you want to see improved?  Anyone can say make them less cartoony, but what does that mean?  Subjective is rather vague.  Can you be specific?  The HTC guys read the forums and are always looking for relevant contributions.  Putting a date on a graphic engine isn't a solution, there are some fantastic older systems and some horrific new ones.  
Better shadows?  Better reflections?  Be specific and some of us in here can probably point you to a link that has addressed or is addressing the subject.  Like, for example, I addressed a comment you had on graphics, I pointed to the most recent graphics discussion that was related to terrain.  It wasn't what you meant.  It's not my fault I guessed wrong  Be specific, guessing and trying to figure out what you meant seems like a dead end to me.
In the mean time, I think I may have wasted my time trying to be helpful, I see where this one's heading already.

Good questions.  Let me first figure out what my settings are as I could be proceeding from a false assumption.  I may have leapt without looking first.  (If low settings are the default that could be a good thing and could be a bad one.  Depends on which which way you look at it.)

This just points back to what others have said.  If my graphics are porked I sure had no idea until now.   Lack of help for new players abides.

And attitude problems from d-cks like you won't keep people around long.    

I have every right to comment regardless.  My experience is a parallel to the larger base who install and fly without tweaking graphics, and it looks like a damned cartoon compared to other turnkey sims.

if you can't answer that you have your graphics maxed out then it is not right for you to say the planes need tweaking. The planes that have been recently remodeled in the last yea and 1/2 have been incredible looking with graphics cranked up.
