I agree I agree.  Don't get me wrong.  I am just thinking in terms of getting and retaining newer players is all...

I will mess with my vid settings next time I play to get the proper perspective.  I am assuming they are not on the highest level but rather default.  I just didn't expect people to jump down my throat over it.  If this is the way new players are treated THAT is what puts you all in trouble.

Some get kinda cranky when they perceive an insult to their favorite game it seems.     I understand where you are coming from with the attracting new players.  My son didn't want to try AH because he felt the graphics were dated....he got over that quickly after he tried it.

I still enjoy dogfights but it is pretty dated.  Surely the graphics could be tweaked, no?

vraciu this is the second time that somebody has pointed out to you that the graphics are being updated.   however another problem you maybe facing is that you dont have the hardware to make the game look better.  you cant expect to play the game on a 300 dollar laptop and whine that graphics look crappy.  there's a few of us that have spent 2 or 3 times what the average player spent on their system  and graphics look pretty cool.  not as cool as war thurder but when you compare the full game and not just the graphics then you realize that aces high comes out on top.

with the new graphics update comes out, I am lucky enough that I will be able to afford a few things to take full advantage of the new graphics engine, I hope.  it doesnt help anybody when people just blurt things out like "game looks crappy and dated" without being specific and that includes actually posting your systems specs.

No wounder why the game looks like complete crap to you... thats the lowest the settings go almost

And now you're mad because the game looks bad yet you don't even have it maxed out. Thats like me saying that battlefield 3 looks terrible because I run it on the lowest settings on a 40$ graphics card...

I won't go so far as to say I am mad.  I was just surprised that nothing has changed.   The default settings are ten years old at least.  Maybe more.    That's okay, I guess, but if someone doesn't know  that they may not give the game a chance.

Okay, so I am off to tweak it and see what happens. I am downloading the hi-res vid pack.   Feeling better already.  <S>

Well I have my "old" gaming machine over in the corner.  Slower processor but better GPU.   I guess I could break it back out and see.

I dialed up some settings and so far no crashing on the one listed.

Maybe it would help to know what settings others are running and what vid cards are recommended.
