Well, the better the hardware is, the better stuff looks down low.  I was just pointing out, that from a graphics/look standpoint, that screen shot he posted really is a best case scenario.

Personally, I love the game.  But, I also am realistic enough to agree with the folks that point out that AH will slowly bleed to death (many believe they are already bleeding to death) if they don't take steps to counter the competition.

I am hopeful that the new terrain system will help.

That said, I think HTC needs to do some major work (which they may be working on already) and then they should re-release as AH3 and re-market the game.  But I think they are going to need more than just a new terrain system.

I would like to see AI missions (that players can join or oppose) running 24/7 in the MA.  Allow the AI to fight the war too, with real players mixed in, perhaps tipping the scales one way or the other.

Just some thoughts.

The AI thing is a no brainier IMHO.  As numbers drop bring up the AI component.

Nah, I don't think Hitech needs a bunch of college kids to analyze his company.

He has an enormous amount of experience in this business, and has had a viable product on the market for a very very very long time, in game industry terms.

No, they don't need an analysis.

I'm sure they know exactly what is happening and are in the process of making improvements where possible without destroying the things that make Aces High unique and a fantastic game.  The trick is that they are being compared with games that are built on small numbers of players on very very small maps ( in comparison to AH ) in timed matches.  They are different games really, in a very big and important difference.

The challenge is, of course, to put Aces High in a good position in the market.

why ask grad students when there's so much experience here on the bb from people that have inside information about the company?

I have been playing for more than 7 years.  and since the day I found the bb, there has always been complains about hordes, hoing, picking, "we had more players" before, graphics suck, collision model, blah, blah, blah.  you can go on an on about the things we dont like or wish could be changed.

I also play wot and it's funny how people also complain over there about basically the same things, the lemming, the graphics (i own a 200 laptop and graphics suck, please fix graphics), people dont expend enough time learning the game, fix the game, we are losing too many players, the game is on the way out, this is the end of wot, blah, blah.

I am pretty sure same thing is on the wwp's bb and war thunder.

wish people would concentrate on having fun instead of whining.  every thread now switches to how the sky is falling for aces high.

I want the game to be viable.  Long term.   Sometimes the uncluttered mind has a triumph, and there IS WISDOM in many advisors.  One only has to find it/them.   This game is in decline.  That decline will accelerate if not reversed.

The game hasn't changed.  If you're not improving you're falling behind.

My computer plays many other games with far better graphics.  Hmmmmmm.....         Nice try.  As others have pointed out, even on high settings AH is still a 2D cartoon.  Not sustainable.  Good luck with that.
