Newer doesn't mean better. Give me Windows 2000 and Office 2003 and I will run circles around anyone using Winnlows 7 and Office 2010 for productivity. I don't need Microsloth to continuously shift the paradigm without preserving the core things we have had since at least windows 95 (and the first versions of MS Word and Works). Keep the bells and whistles. They're a distraction.
They do this bogus "continuous improvement" as a reason to drive the sheep into buying hardware and OSes, not because it actually does anything in a superior way. Leave hardware sales to the game industry. That's the only real need for most of it any way, as Linux has ably shown. Just my opinion.
