Hate to be the bad guy here but War Thunder has already beat AH to the idea. They have a ps4 version launching sometime this month. Its got a little bit of hype going for it already and the entire concept is online play. So to spend all the time and money on developing AH for consoles now might be a little tough. If it was going to be the FIRST to release on a console then yeah maybe why not.
As far as paying for 2 accounts, honestly I pay for 2 accounts now I have a 360 now and will be getting a PS4 soon enough (which means no more "Gold" for Xbox) and I will pay the 9-10 bucks a month for the PS Plus account, but I can honestly say that if they had a console version of AH and it was pretty much the same as it is here I would play the console version because its cheaper per month than the $15 now.
The console community is a little immature and obnoxious at times sure, however PART of the reason I think we don't have that many on here is because of the difficulty level of learning this game and the learning curve being so high. They don't have the patience to sit and learn the game and all its technicalities. So if you add a keyboard as a required accessory to the console version and add some difficulty to the console version they might stay away from it a little, but then again that also would mean less sales.
So while I think it would have been a good idea, I think that train already left the station with War Thunder, because I can speak from experience trying to find one, that there doesn't seem to be to much to choose from in that niche in terms of online WW2 multiplayer play on consoles. On another note World of Tanks is developing right now for the Xbox and they have a teaser trailer out already.
I cant really speak in terms of graphics and capabilities between PC and Console cause I am not a Tech guy. All that I do know is that every WW2 flying game on consoles prior to the new PS4 and XB1 have left a lot to be desired xtremely arcade like and "cartoon" like in my opinion. Just no where near the realism and authentic feel that we have here.
Just my thoughts on it
