  I was a lone 190 at an enemy base when such a horde was just upping. I flew at high speed through the stream from the back to the front. You should have seen the panic as they scrambled to avoid.

No, defending hording and telling players to just suck it up and get slaughtered 10 vs 1 is. Nobody I know of considers that as fun - not on the hording side and especially the defending side. You may try to "fight" against the horde, zoom down and kill one or two of them but then inevitably some hordeling in an LA7 is going to pick you in the process. Yay fun, right?

Yeah, it's the preferred ride of the biggest blowhards on 200 and helps with improving my kills per death and sortie ratings when it actually leans over and banks into a fight.  Admittedly rare as they're usually buggering off like brave Sir Robin after the one pass pick or ho failed.

Our experiences seem to differ quite a bit. I usually get quite a fight out of La's, although where I encounter them most is when they are defending a WF town. Are your encounters furballing?

When 200 gets blowhardish, I detune, so I guess I can't speak about that.

I finally switched from 200 during my last stint on Aces.  Should have done that a long time ago.  And our experiences do differ.  I fly a pony so they're fairly closely matched although I have greater success against them than vice versa when they actually choose to fight and it slows into a turn fight.  Most of the time it's not even booming and zooming which I could care less about.  That's a great tactic for any plane with alt and E and more power to them if they get me that way.  In my experience, far and away, if I'm jumped by a La it is almost always one pass then skiddaddle.  Unless of course he has friends.

You got the wrong approach. You don't defend against a horde - you attack the horde.

So...I guess I should stay outta yalls little argument here but AKAK IMO is right....Anytime I see the horde coming I'm uppin' and ready for the fight...If they are vulching I try to up at least a few times before I'm upping at the nearest base heading to my cartoon death...I consider playing the game fun, it really doesn't matter to me if its 10 vs 1 or not...its not like you win money for having a good score and its really not like anyone gives a crap if your score is high either....the horde is, has, and will always be part of the game....I understand that some players try their hardest to only pick and run if the fights too hot...and come to the boards about the horde....but getting your cartoon airplane blown up and possibly blown up multiple times in a row isn't a reason to smash your joystick through your monitor

Seriously though, why does anybody up from a capped and feed the vulchers? I will if they are somewhat busy and there's a chance, but when it's swarming, uhhh no thanks, that's not a game it's clubbing.

I up from capped fields all the time.  Avoiding the vulch and getting up enough to kill a couple is hard.  Hard = fun.   Upping 3-4 times in a vulch, killing a couple guys and getting whacked everytime is way more satisfying than buzzing around with E picking 6-8 guys and landing safely (in my opinion).  If its completely impossible to get up, then come in with alt and scatter them.  I'm just happy to find folks to point my plane at and go pewpewpew.
