G930 Headset
« on: December 02, 2013, 07:49:34 PM »
How's it guys....I've had the above mentioned headset for a while now and have had a small...and it seems inconsequential issue with it from day one....
The issue is every time I start my PC I get a pop up box telling me to unplug and re plug the headset....I usually just click the x to shut the box....most times this message box has popped up 3-4 times...on occasion more (noted by how many times I have to shut a box down as they are layered one atop another)
The seemingly inconsequential part is that....the headset works fine when I just close the box and do nothing with the headset. This has just caused me to question what exactly the issue is....
as I say...it is not so much a problem more a wonderment which I have just decided now to see if any one else had/has this issue and fixed it

Cheers

Have a G930 myself and never have seen that message window pop up.  Only window message that I've seen pop up for my headphones is the window telling me that I have 20 minutes of charge left.

Same here as Ack Ack.  I've been using this set for three years now and have never seen that message.  Only problem I've ever had with the headset was the disconnection issue which is due to interference from a wifi AP.

FYI - set the AP to use channel 1 or 11 will solve the issue,
Going by "Hoplite" now. :)

Could it just be that your antivirus program has quarantined some part of the G930 driver program? Worth checking, at least Avast has been hyperactive lately.

Hmmm, thats a strange one. Is any Logictech software running at the time? Maybe try and disable it and , at least, see if its that.

I've never seen the dialog box the OP is having problems with but I don't run the Logitech software.

That's strange. There's nothing in my documentation for changing channels and I do get knocked off occasionally, but that's when I go to the kitchen.

Eighteen months + and I love this thing, well except when I forget to unplug it and clothesline myself.  :o

You won't find it in the documentation.  Google "G930 Disconnect"....pretty common problem.  You can also make some changes in the Regestry but those never really helped.  Changing the channel used by my Linksys wireless AP fixed the issue.

I see my misunderstanding of your post. It could be a nearby wifi access point in the apartment where I live and there's nothing that I can do about that.

Yes...unless you can convince the owner to change their AP channel.  Sorry man.
