Diablo III: Reaper of Souls
« on: December 13, 2013, 11:25:56 AM »
I called it!  Well, not here, but Sand, Butcher and 17E MIGHT remember me calling it.  Act V!  HA!  For those of you who played, were you be surprised about it?  Adria simply disappears and you do not see anything happen to the Soulstone other than it fall.  So, yeah.  Most should've seen this a mile away, especially with how Act IV played out.

I got lucky as well, and received a Closed Beta Invite.  Oh the bugs to be seen.  Will be use to it though, seeing as I've been playing Starbound quite a bit. :x  Going to stay away from Hardcore though.  It's almost a guaranteed death sentence. :noid

Still wondering why they didn't keep the Difficulty Names as is.  Normal, Nightmare, Hell, Inferno.  I also still haven't run into Magic Immune/Fire Enchanted/Cold Enchanted/Lighting Enchanted/Extra Fast/Extra Strong/Cursed/Aura Enchanted/Spectral Hit variant in D3.  Oh boy, they were a pain for my Orb Sorc in D2. :bhead

Wow I find it hard to believe it has been almost 38 days since our last path. We should have release another 38 versions by now  :bhead

LOL Volron I still play D3 now and then, lately I haven't been due to losing my HD in a format, it does look interesting I just hope the Act isn't boring like running Act1-4 over and over and over :(

Well, if you run something over and over, it'll bore the hell outta anything.  But they DO have a couple of things that caught my interest.  Adventure Mode, and the Crusader is proving to be quite fun. :x  Rifts are supposedly COMPLETELY random.  If so, that will knock some of the boredom away.  I'm curious.  As is though, I'm doing something most, if not all, of the folks are not doing, running all the way through from Act I with a new character, in my case, a Crusader.  So far, the only bug I've noticed with that wall traps in the Cathedral are not hurting or killing enemies. :headscratch:

Yes, I'm in the Closed Beta. :)

Ugh.  They changed out the difficulty naming and if I read it correctly, (which I probably didn't :lol) also revamped the way it works as well.  The naming is Normal, Hard, Expert, Master and Torment.  The revamp, I believe it's the number of critters that changes, and how often you run into champions and elites with x amount of modifier's based of off your setting and number of players.  I believe the max is still just 3, with exceptions(?).  The monster difficulty level is based off of the highest level character in the game regardless.  It is a different animal it seems.

As mentioned before, I'm doing a run as sader, but on Normal SC.  I probably won't bother with HC as it being a beta, very likely to run into issues.  Idea is to find bugs, but...hmmm  :headscratch:  HC is another beast on it's own.  I don't recall see them changing the fact that HC is outright harder the SC and that loot IS better.  Meaning, they may have bugs in it that wouldn't otherwise be spotted in my SC playthrough.  I may have to make an HC sader as well now.   For those who don't know, Softcore is a term used in Diablo for characters that are not deleted when they die, hence Softcore.  Hardcore is perma-death.  Normal Hardcore will have with more critters, and more champions and elites will show, but it will also have better loots than Normal Softcore.  Everything is also tougher, having more HP/Resists/etc. in Hardcore.

Go here
https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/diablo-iii-starter-edition-guest-pass

When you get a battlenet account, message me and ill send you a key for a trial addition (I dont think you need it for a starter but if it does ill give you mine).

It lets you play to level 13 or till the skeleton king.

I believe the starter is what they call the trial addition. Blizzard has a funny way of naming things for itself.

I haven't played Diablo since the original (which I loved).  I really should pick this up...maybe even for the Xbox (tho' I have a hard time getting used to the Xbox controls...)
Going by "Hoplite" now. :)
