Sturmovik and stuka. Both are more stable than the hurri2d imo. As far as fighters go stability doesn't matter that much, if at all, because you're pulling lead this way and that way. Of course if you turn combat trim on any instability is pretty much nullified.

The Thunderbolt, Lightning and Mustang all had a reputation for being stable weapon platforms.  Out of those three, I would give the nod to the Lightning for being the most stable weapon platform because of the nose mounted guns.

Any 109 over 430mph.  ;)
Seriously speaking, P38, 262, 410. From the single engined ones, any nose-heavy plane is a decent gun platform.
The worst i have seen, in order: Ta-152, Spit14, Jak9u (that damn plane just dont want to do what i want), F4Us.

Nothing I use in here is stable. My stick is pure bounce. If I kill you, its due to pure lead overdose, than anything else.

Axis Scaling in your stick setup/calibration menu, ask AKAK about it.
Whether you think you can or cannot, you are right!

Debrody, it's interesting that you consider the 410 a stable gun platform but the Yak9 unstable.   I have no issues with the Yak but find the 410 very frustrating.  I might play around with axis scaling, too.

Can someone inbox me CH stick scaling?
When I die bury me in a P38.

I watch day after day, week after week, tour after tour, the Bishops and Rooks take bases and win maps while the Knights stand there with their thumbs stuck in their butts. It's just pathetic!

How does scaling actually work? I've never really touched it.

I have always found the Hellcat, D-25, D-40 jugs to be very stable gun platforms.

In the most basic terms, you can adjust the responsiveness of your joy-stick to your inputs.

you set up a sliding scale.... so you will have less input to the movement of the stick at center and as you move your stick it will "catch up" to full when you are at full motion....

very basic description....im sure you understand a sliding scale?

basically it allows less motion when you have a bead on the nme, allowing less nose bounce....
