6 kills an hour doesn't sound bad.

but honestly I just posted for a PBEM game two weeks ago for Bombing the reich, I can see myself getting far more involved and having fun planning bombing missions across europe then watching two hordes play while I sit in a tower unable to move for 11 hours and do nothing.

Here's my overall map, so far he's really not wanting to meet my bombers, he's pulled the FW-190 squadrons to the rear and only use them if I attempt to penetrate past cologne. With 12 squadrons of P-47D11's and the 56th Squadron at the lead, I hope to make a dent in his little luftwobble soon :)

I recently tried to come back to AH, I spent better part of my saturday just looking for a fight. After 6 or so kills in over an hour period I decided to give up.

I may give it one or two more sorties to find some interest, but honestly I just posted for a PBEM game two weeks ago for Bombing the reich, I can see myself getting far more involved and having fun planning bombing missions across europe then watching two hordes play while I sit in a tower unable to move for 11 hours and do nothing.

so you complain about the lacks of fights in aces high and go play a game where there's no fights.

INK,

Fly a spit1 or a hurri1. Everyone knows you changed your name but still fly your Ki84. Changing your name again won't change how your signature use of the Ki84 gives you away. Those you are describing will never play this game to be slaughtered by you once they realize it's you or another accomplished vet slaughtering them.

I get run from now if I show up in a spit8 or spit14 by those not looking to be slaughtered that run from you. The only players who don't run these days give me the willies too. But, if I ran I'd never hear the end of it. I get slaughtered a lot late nights. Just ask AMAX. He has to listen to me.......

You are a victim of your own success. All Hail INK........... :joystick:

Just for giggles I checked my score for captures with a goon for the last 5 years. I almost never have captures let alone in a goon as I spend most of my time defending.

(...)

if it continues as it is next December I'll be ranked in the top 1000 in capture with a goon WITHOUT EVER FLYING A GOON!

Part reason for that is that a smaller players have any base captures in a goon at all, because capturing bases has become a lot harder (and thus rarer, not only absolutely as well as relatively).

If you are not looking for the absolute number of players (doesn't work anyway ;)) but just want to see an overall tendency, check the rank # for "base captures in attack mode" of any random player in a given tour, as nobody has any.

In November 2025, Lusche will return for a 20th anniversary tour. Get your tickets now!

In 2009 IIRC HTC had the horrible split arena system which killed servers regularly and forced people to log in to two smaller arenas instead, locking out squadmates regularly. I remember just logging off imost days when that happened. Probably put a sizeable dent in the user base. Then after a while players disappeared and the off-peak numbers became peak numbers so the arena split had done its job and could be removed  :x

They said the same thing when I kept posting that the NOE's were getting out of hand.... I guess I was wrong then too.

Just for giggles I checked my score for captures with a goon for the last 5 years. I almost never have captures let alone in a goon as I spend most of my time defending. On top of that ranking doesn't show you how many "ties" for that spot are, but just for the sake of argument lets say they average out about the same. All are for December late war.

2013 - rank 1986
2012 - rank 2927
2011 - rank 3234
2010 - rank 3717
2009 - rank 4700
2008 - rank 5149

if it continues as it is next December I'll be ranked in the top 1000 in capture with a goon WITHOUT EVER FLYING A GOON!

I guess nothing is wrong this time either  :aok

Seeing those numbers I start to feel bad I didnt renew my CC to my subscription. Even though I have no time for AH I would hate to see the game disappear.
