No, not unless HTC really tightens up on the rules of what will and will not be added. Unless, of course, you're not seeking more community members, and rather are just looking for the cannon fodder the average gamer will be for a VERY long time.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Why would HiTech have to "tighten up on the rules" in order to port the game to consoles?

From what I've read in this thread, most don't really know what the development costs to port this game to either console would entail and porting to console won't guarantee new players or increased revenue for HTC.

It's like the suggestion to put AH on Steam.  Sure, you might get more new players but HTC will lose money on each subscription that it's probably not worth it for them.

From what I've seen, most of the xbox and PS community care very little for anything but getting the biggest, bestest, newest thing. That means we would see a lot more requests for postwar/non-combat aircraft like the DO 335, Ju 390, the B-36, F7F and F8F, the Centurion, Maus, T28.

We'd see more requests for Korean War arena, and modern things, like the F-22, Su-37, Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, etc. T-90's and M1's, and Leopard 2's.....

A path I think many of us would like to avoid.

Hate to be the bad guy here but War Thunder has already beat AH to the idea. They have a ps4 version launching sometime this month. Its got a little bit of hype going for it already and the entire concept is online play. So to spend all the time and money on developing AH for consoles now might be a little tough.  If it was going to be the FIRST to release on a console then yeah maybe why not.

As far as paying for 2 accounts, honestly I pay for 2 accounts now I have a 360 now and will be getting a PS4 soon enough (which means no more "Gold" for Xbox) and I will pay the 9-10 bucks a month for the PS Plus account, but I can honestly say that if they had a console version of AH and it was pretty much the same as it is here I would play the console version because its cheaper per month than the $15 now.

The console community is a little immature and obnoxious at times sure, however PART of the reason I think we don't have that many on here is because of the difficulty level of learning this game and the learning curve being so high. And lets keep it that way, problem now days people don't want to learn anythingThey don't have the patience to sit and learn the game and all its technicalities. So if you add a keyboard as a required accessory to the console version and add some difficulty to the console version they might stay away from it a little, but then again that also would mean less sales.

So while I think it would have been a good idea, I think that train already left the station with War Thunder, because I can speak from experience trying to find one, that there doesn't seem to be to much to choose from in that niche in terms of online WW2 multiplayer play on consoles. On another note World of Tanks is developing right now for the Xbox and they have a teaser trailer out already.

I cant really speak in terms of graphics and capabilities between PC and Console cause I am not a Tech guy. All that I do know is that every WW2 flying game on consoles prior to the new PS4 and XB1 have left a lot to be desired xtremely arcade like and "cartoon" like in my opinion. Just no where near the realism and authentic feel that we have here.

Just my thoughts on it

It's funny how you always put the tripe you post down as some sort of fact.

Years of listening to b***ching on HALO, Call of Duty, and other assorted multiplayers.

As I said, it was just my impression. Don't get your balls in a knot.

I would love to see it, as I have a PS4 now. I'm a very big fan of AH but I'm primarily a {mature} console player. I wish I had a good computer to run it still, my home computer's performance has deteriorated significantly since I was last able to play. I really miss it, even though I was never really good at it. I love the challenge of the learning curve. I love the way AH plays out with the three factions all on the same map and it takes true team work to take bases and win the war. No other game {that I've heard of atleast} has that gameplay element and I think thats something to have going up against a game like War Thunder, on PS4 anyway, if HTC even does it. I sure would love to be back in the skys of Aces High. <S>

P.S. Rooks for the win.. =^.^=

Horrible idea. Half the Golly-geened players would be lagging and warping and there would be so many little kids. Hi-tech says he wants the game to stay as a community and not a mass population.
