would need to sort out a benefits system (otherwise Glasgow would starve), the infrastructure issues that are currently plaguing the country would need to be paid for. They would almost certainly wish to be part of Europe so they might want to take some of the responsibility for the £40 million we pay daily for that priviledge.

They would need to set up a health system that could be up and running immediately, fully autonomous of the rest of the UK and fully funded by Scotland. The tax system would need to be overhauled, as would the introduction of something similar to National Insurance to pay for hospitals and recidivist benefit claimants and chavs that are breeding at an exponential rate.

Yes they have the oil industry and a couple of ailing shipyards but I simply do not believe that a country of 5.5 million, coupled with its ageing populous have a chance of succeeding without the support of UK central government. :old:

In theory, most of these troubles are from the fear of pulling off mothers teat.  Dont worry much about it bub.  Survival of the willing, so long as they are not oppressed, should lead to happiness.  A good homogeneous community and degenerative thinning would allow for ample resource utilization and life fulfillment.  :salute
