Instead of everyone point out what is wrong, point out what it needs to be right.

1. It needs to be as good as the game is for us.  A lot of us feel passionate about Aces High and it could also be portrayed in there as well.
2. It needs to look like you took some time making an ad and that you care about the product you're advertising.
3. It needs to look like it's made in 2014, not 1993.  Smooth modern looking screen transitions, verbiage and materials used, and the background music.
4. It needs background audio chatter with video from in-game like we often hear in SEA events, or squad night in the MA or AvA. And use some footage from TrackIR players for crips sake.
5. And it needs to also include tanks and ships.  While they're not the Bread&Butter of AH, they're still pretty cool in a MMOG.

I enjoyed the film when I first watched it, however watching the start of it again what is really, gripping, spine tingling is the chatter.

Hurricanes! 12 O'Clock... you can really feel the tension. It's not acting, or voice over or commentary.  It's a group of people totally absorbed in their virtual environment.  It's not.. oh some hurricanes, but I'm ok sat at my pc.  It's "Oh ****, hurricanes and they're trying to kill me"!  If you can start the add, black screen with a few seconds of this chatter or similar, engine noise and guns firing... then cut to combat eye candy and music, I think the chatter would make for a great hook, even if you just fade it out after the initial few seconds.

I know music is a great sticking point given copyrights etc, could Hitech make the music he used available as part of an ad challenge?  I'd be up for it!

Not a fan.

It's needs action. Dramatic music. Explosions. fighters in combat. And a deeper dramatic voice not some redneck sounding retards.

We prefer the term "Appalachian American"

As far as I can tell, 80% of the knights are redneck sounding. While about 5% of the total game population, populate this forum who on an aside seem to be redneck discriminatory, while trying to convince the world they are the game's norm in this public forum.

Hitech is not slow on the ball. I wonder, on the bish and rook sides, how much of the range chatter is redneck sounding? Unless the advertisement is simply a pot stirring joke to get you guys brain storming. Advertisements usually target demographics or a demographic with money interested in the core concepts being sold. Question should be, is this an eyes on type, or a results type of advertisement?

WW2 Air Combat Simm based in Texas. Rednecks have been the patriotic backbone of our armed forces since the dawn of our Republic for some strange reason. Preponderance of redneck sounding voices on range VOX. Money is usually very quiet, but, easy to follow by billing addresses. Consumer demographics can be charted for advertisements. And if 80% of the game is redneck sounding. Well, then HTC knows where it's revenue is coming from.

I will lean towards Hitech stirring the pot to get you non redneck sounding gentlemen brains storming.

I know what You mean though F77, everytime I watch These back  I would rather just be in a spot of cloud over the channel scouring the sky for the bad men.    They are AH in all it's glory and it was an honour to fight in it friend or foe.

Agreed.. Hammer home the game is centered on the fact that you are battling against other players. I like the idea of utilizing voice chatter, the intense stuff that keeps us on the edges of our seats!!!  The highs and the lows of ACES HIGH!

I remember the first time I saw Star Wars and that massive Star Destroyer crept across the screen. I was floored! Or the beginning of Top Gun with the F-14 engines throttling up on the aircraft carrier. That scene still gives me chills when I watch it almost 30 years later! Now those are openings that grab your attention! You need to showcase the action, air combat, dogfights, massive bombing raids, explosions, and maybe have some voice over narration on top of the action emphasizing the highlights of the game, or maybe some pilot to pilot communication over the action, not the cheesy opening dialog in your video. Maybe open with the bomber formation creeping across the screen and filling the blue sky with their engines roaring and all of a sudden they're attacked by enemy fighters. Now that's an opening! C'mon guys, you're better than this!

Skuzzy,

It has been quite a long time since I posted something here.

That ad had no hook. It didn't get me fired up about trying the game out at all.
