It should.  It might be a bit cumbersome depending on how close you can mount them.  Every dual throttle I've seen has some way to lock the two together so you can operate them as one until you need to decouple them.

If you use two throttles that don't normally connect you can use modes to let one throttle control both engines then switch modes when you need both throttles.

Quite honestly, you don't need a dual throttle for the P-38. There is no real benefit using one other than the immersion factor, though it will aid in recovering from certain spins and nice and pretty hammerheads.

Flat scissoring.  Cutting throttle to the side you're trying to roll helps noticeably.  Whether it helps you win the fight is another story, but you can certainly change roll direction faster.

Cutting one engine also helps you roll when you're stalled. The L doesn't snap roll like the J so it may benefit more from dual throttles.

I have also noticed a real odd stall i have never felt.
Under 95 with full flaps in a rolling scissors in the right angle she feels like she is about to flat spin ,but i hit full throttle i don't even need to go nose down just raise flaps and she pulls right into a straight line.

After flying the P38 for about a year and a half, I can say that patience is a very important factor. In a 1 on 1, you can push the envelope a little more but if you have a few red guys around, you have to fly smarter, not harder. Shuffler is my mortal nme in midwar. Even vs multiple, if he cannot kill a con, he will not let you kill him by flying foolishly. Just can't buy experience  :) It will come at dying many, many times over.  And it's a fact that nme planes will dive right through a higher cover to come and try and pick the big/fat B-38 3k lower than everybody else   lol  Sometimes you're the hunter, sometimes you're the prey.   ;)

To be successful in the 38 you need to become a very, very good picker.  Keep others around you as a shield of sorts so they can keep the wolfs away since the 38 is about the best piece of meat in game.  Delirium works this about as well as it can be done.  Watch Lazer as well.

Not that you can't get a lot of kills in the 38 as a loner.  You will just be killed a lot without friendly support in hot areas.  The 38 is almost always everyone's first choice in targets.   Having as many as eight on your tail at once is common if you don't have friendly skies to zoom back too.  Fun though.

:rofl    You are wrong with all of it.

Having a blast.
This bird is a lot more capable of (fighting) then i ever thought it.

Much like the pony many people just fly it like pansy's, i have found when "if" you learn it well it can (fight) the heck out of it.
I have also found that the 38 makes such a juicy target ,even when a combatant is loosing the merges and loosing the advantage ,they still can't pull off as they are fixated on the 38's shapely backside.

Dose anyone have a preference on what tanks they burn fuel from first?

I've never heard of a preference in Aces High.

Historically, (from what I remember) the later model birds  would drain the leading edge fuel tanks first (earlier model birds had oil in those tanks). These tanks are not modeled in AH but are represented in the overall fuel load carried by the P38.

I blame Mir as well.

I tried so hard to figure the 38 out. I think to the point of flying it for a couple of months. I could never get past my single engine habits and ended up in horrible position. Trying to "get skinny" worked for a bit until I mismanaged E and position, consistently. Got frustrated and went back to single engines.

Anyone who can fly into a furball in a 38 and fly back out again (parts missing or not) is a supreme stick <S>.

As opposed to the mongs that fly in en masse alongside a ruck of Pony's to hit a bade.

They are as unskilled as they are pleasant to kill

let the auto-fuel manage it.  You'll get no benefit to manually adjusting the fuel.
