I'd rather see a dot command to forcefully remove a joined gunner.

I wish that HiTech would make it were you can fly the bomber and the ai crew will fire the guns.So if your in the bombsight the crew can fire back on their own.

Hmmm...

What-if: a bomber could have either a very dumbed-down, inaccurate, computer-controlled Otto von Ventral or a potentially lethal human gunner?

The more players you allow to become crew for something, the more players you don't have as a commander of something to shoot at and shoot back.

Take some of the huge bomber missions in this game and populate each bomber with a gunner rather than 2 to 3 fighter escort per box. Some will be fantastic gunners. Most will use up their ammo and have wasted an hour of their play time and efforts along with their bomber being shot down.

Else where on the map it will be noticed that there is a shortage of bodies. Including to the detriment of the gunners country as bases are more easily rolled while they are sitting in a can for an hour wondering where the defenders are for them to shoot at. There is no real target in the MA to bomb that will stop cold the target country's hoard from steam rolling bases while you are bombing behind them. Ultimately it takes rolling up your sleeves and getting dirty directly against the hoard. The game is organized to promote fighting over things rather than knock out blows to end campaigns.

One of the hallmarks of most wishes in this game, is the lack of caring or enumerating any possible unintended consequences by their owners. So Hitech gets to be the bad guy because he has to look at wishes from all the things that could or will go wrong, against the overall benefit to the whole player population as they play the game together beyond this week, month, or year.

I remember the bombing mission we had in fso middle of last year.  most of the bomber's that were shot down were shot down by gunners in friendly bombers.
