Yeah, look at it, the Meteor would be a bit underwhelming.

If I had to guess, I'd say a lot of people are hoping for a counter to the 262, in which case they will be sorely disappointed.

Maybe but it would add excitement to the game and a nod to the outstanding aerospace Industry of England in WW2. I'd rather see the Beau and the Firefly but bring the Meteor on.

Slower than Me262 but faster than any other general use fighter, but better accelerating/climbing, better turning fighter with better anti-fighter guns?  If anything it would need a higher perk cost than the Me262.

Agreed.  I think it would be similar to a F6F vs P51D match up.  Mix it up for a few turns, loops, etc, then the P51D just had to extend out a minute or two to create a bit of space.  The same would be true of the Meteor III and the Me262.  Though, the speeds would be 400-500 instead of 300-350.   :D

It looks like a slightly better tempest. Vs other fighters, sure it's probably better. But if you want to kill a 262, your best choice is another 262. Or the He 162, being a more maneuverable 262.

All the Me262 will have over the Meteor is the ability to run.  Once engaged the Meteor would be competitive.  It is very much faster than the Tempest. The ballistics on the Hispanos would be a significant advantage in a fight with the Me262.  The MK108's poor muzzle velocity is a serious problem for the Me262.

Well, Me262 may roll better.  Not sure on that.

Speed, and thus the ability to engage and disengage at will, seems to be quite important. The La-7, D9, P-51 are quite maligned in the MA, but there's a reason they're labeled as dweeb rides.

It isn't as useful as some make it out to be.  It is useful, but hardly an "I win" button, particularly when paired with the horrible MK108 ballistics.  The 262's speed advantage is not large enough to allow it to engage with any level of aggressiveness and still be able to disengage at will.

And my swordfish

Hook a torpedo to an F2B, slap on a new light-colored skin, and you have Greas' "Brisfish," probably a close approximation.

I seen the Specs on the Meteor Mk III that seen combat, it out does everything a Tempest does except acceleration and I believe its turn radius is rather close.

When you put this into perspective, take up a tempest in the Training Arena, and just consider it a little faster with poorer acceleration and you got a meteor.

Oh and 4 Hispanos in the nose, which is a plus.

Not exactly Mk III is much faster than tempest about 80mph... Also its acceleration pattern is very different (as of any jet) it has much better acceleration at high speeds.

Maybe you misunderstood what I wrote, I didn't say the Meteor was slower. Any how here is the comparison:

Allied can have the Meteor if 262 and 190s get the r4m rocket system.
It was used  by Luftwaffe in 1945 and was very effective.

Allied buffs thought they where hit by flak when  when downed.

There isn't some silly tit for tat.  Me262 should get R4M regardless of the Meteor being added or not just because the Me262 should have R4M.

I may use the Meteor because of it's 20mm Hispano gun package since I can't hit the ground with the 262s 30mm pack. I think some of the real good 262 sticks would eat the Meteor in air to air combat. Plus the Meteor saw little action anyway. I think it was used to chase down V-1s mostly.

I'd like to see it added at some point so +1
