Hmm, but I should have made the title "Your favorite death of you (not the other guy)".  ;)

My favorite death ever occurred about 2 years ago.  I was over a base being pounded by the hoard when I was oiled.  All hangers were down, town was white flagged, ack at base and town was all down so I figured I'd just set it down on the runway because the troops were inbound.  Landed, rolled to a safe stop on the runway and out of habit I ended BEFORE the base was actually captured.

Just yesterday I upped a 262. A very rare thing for me as I never seem to have many perks available. Also I am completely hopeless in them.
Anyway I toddled off, killed a Pony with a rudder shot of which I was justly proud. Then found a Stuka which I despatched with aplomb. Feeling invincible I headed home to land my scalps. On the way back I snuck up behind a Jug and destroyed it with a quick burst.
Short of fuel and taters now I headed to the nearest field which was in a hollow on a hill. Try as I might I simply could not get the speed low enough to land and yet high enough to clear the mountains round the edge of the field.
After 3 attempts I decided to go to the next nearest field.
Fuel expired about 1k from the field and I struggled like hell for my one go at landing. Needless to say I came in too quick, folded the nose gear and slewed off tge runway before everything collapsed and I was sat in the tower. Another 3 months I might get enough perks for another go :cry

Killshot myself with a ricochet off a Tiger tank.  Came in low and fast in a B-25H on a Tiger and fired in close and the round bounced off the tank, shot straight into the air and hit my plane as I over flew the tank.

The Battle Over Germany scenario.

I was flying Bf 109's, hunting for Dicke Autos.  I came across a formation of them escorted by P-47's.  I tangled with the escort but eventually got chased out by a group of P-47's.

I decided to make a run on the bombers while I dove out so as to accomplish at least something rather than just fleeing for my life.  Examining the formation, I saw one straggler well to the rear of the pack.  "Maybe an inexperienced pilot.  I'll go for him," I thought.

I lined up and started hitting him, aiming for the right wing.

But once inside about 500 yards, an expertly aimed burst of fire nearly instantly removes my left wing.

I was getting ballsy flying a P-39 (the 37mm version) and hadn't had much success with making the cannon rounds connect with anything. Finally, after 3-4 sorties and only 2 kills, I rtb a bit frustrated. As I'm landing, someone else (a friendly) is rolling off the runway I'm landing at. I decided to shoot a 37mm at them, as I had several bad sorties and I knew I'd never hit them.

I raised the nose several degrees and lobbed a single 37mm round at them right as their distance marker read 1.0k and BOOM! Direct hit... and I exploded.

At that point, I wasn't sure whether to be pissed or proud of myself.

Always find the lack of sweaty palms from  a good scrap, coupled with ambivalence, makes me a cracking shot. Done this more than once!

I guess one of my best deaths was in a C47.  The strats were hit hard and another guy and myself was doing resup runs.  I look over and there's an enemy pony inbound.  I call a warning to the other guy but the pony stradles up and sends him to heaven.  Three options... ignore and die, run and die, or engage...

I pulled my C47 around and slotted neatly on to the pony's six.  This guy then goes beserk trying to shake me, and I'm pulling my beastie around hearing everything creak laughing my head off glued to his tail.  Suddenly the guy finally does a split S,  I roll over and follow, only to realise that my radius was somewhat bigger than the pony's and the ground somewhat closer.  I hit the ground square and end up back in the tower.  Chatting to the pony pilot after he says "I could tell you were enjoying that!".
