At least since AHII (2004), but I suspect it had always been.

Oh, and in terms of score kill points, it gives you just 1 (one) single kill point (because they are actually functionally 'damage' points for the most part).

But for k/d, k/s and any other category it's just a regular kill (if applicable)

  Yes, you are right.  It takes the fun out of the fight.  Go find someone who doesn't have yellow painted on the belly of his plane.

if you turn your external engine sound up you can start hearing a plane engine at 1000 yds.
