Audio and Frame Rate Problems
« on: April 13, 2014, 10:31:06 AM »
Ill begin with saying that I am horrible when it comes to the workings and functioning of a computer.  Just recently I have noticed that my frame is consistently getting worse in the MA.  I started tinkering with settings and such and did more harm than good.  Its worth noting that each time I key'd f12 to talk in range my computer would (misfire).  Another thing worth noting is my mic preformance is horrible.  I practically have to yell into my mic to be heard.  I have those settings peaked out.  I feel like the sounds are what are hampering my frame rates.  When a plane gets close to me in combat i seem to get slower as well and the sounds are not what they used to be.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.  I have killed my back ground aps and cleaned my computer in hopes it would help with no avail....

Have you boosted your mic? Maxing the slider isn't usually enough to get you heard.

A DxDiag output would help to see what your computer is capable of.

Click this underlined link which will lead you to a HiTech Creations Youtube tutorial video which mostly is about DxDiag. The first third of the output is sufficient.

So what should I do in the dxdiag?

Click the "save all information" button and save it to your desktop or some other convenient place. Then copy the first third of it and paste it here.

Cremator, your computer doesn't have actual bottlenecks, it is one.  It was a decently balanced mediocre low end gamer when it was new, now even lightweight games such as Aces High are getting to be too much for it. There's several points where your computer doesn't meet the current minimum requirements: Both the RAM and video memory are only half of the minimum.

You've pretty much done what can be done with that computer, gaming wise. It's time to get something newer.

Cremator, you are by far not the only one

I have been having the same exact issues as well, also attempting to fly close on the ground or taxing I run into massive lag spikes... And my laptop is still fairly new...

FBDragon has seen the same problems as well to the point where it is unplayable while flying close to the ground!

The boiling pot is put away and the crab has gone back to sea...

There is not doubt that my computer is out of date and I will most likely purchase a new one based on me "wanting more" from the game. Up until recent ive had no problems with my current unit. Who knows....
