It doesn't help at all that the Dr.I so completely owns the arena.

I hate that POS.  I can't fly it for crum and always manage to die to it.    :headscratch:

The DR.1 is way to fast in Aces High. (power plant one 110hp Oberursel UR.11 rotary engine max speed 102mph and that is being generous with the speed. I saw it listed else where at as slow as 90mph. While the Fokker D.VII has a 160hp or185hp Mercedes BML-III engine at 120mph to 125 (depending on where you read) with an excellent clime rate.
However to me in our WWI arena all these plane seem to fly the same speed with the edge to the DR.1. How about a Spad XIII with a 235hp Hispano-Suiza at 135mph tossed in the arena. I personally do not think HTC will spend any more resources in the WWI arena the interest is just not there.

Let's ask him...HiTech, is there likely to be any further development of the WWI arena? Thank you.

If you looked at the speed charts you'd see that the Dr1 and Camel tie for last place. The DVII is faster and the F2b is fastest.

By a few mph, yeah. But 90 is pretty slow compared to the 117 of the DVII.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

The Dr1 and Camel top speeds were within 2 mph of each other. Close enough for individual planes to vary as much.

According to this study our Dr1 should have a lower climb rate than the Camel but it's based on theory not measured performance.
