Something for everyone
« on: April 24, 2014, 08:51:33 AM »

Where do you fit in? Flying a fighter to it's limits in a tense dogfight? Jabo to deliver punishment to your enemies infrastructure? Devastate their ability to make war with a formation of Bombers sent deep into enemy territory while fighting off (or not) the interceptors trying to stop your efforts? Ground Vehicle action in concert with airpower to overwhelm and capture a base and town? Amphibious assault after pounding the shore defenses with 8" shells as waves of Corsairs lift off the smoking deck of a damaged Carrier? A last ditch effort in a Field gun taking out as many strafing attackers before your demise?
This is just some of the fun in just the MA and I'm sure I left out some.

But There are many other experiences this game has to offer if you get burnt out doing the same thing every day.

You love to fly? Try the AH Extreme Racing. It was great to FLY with no one shooting at me for a change.  :D
You will learn a lot more about handling your ride with more precision than you are used to.

Immersion? That award goes to the scenarios and snapshots where there is no idle chatter but concentration of the  mission at hand.

FSO? Though I haven't participated I have read some AARs that tell me you guys are have a ball.

Your enjoyment of this experience is only limited by yourself. Think outside the box.  :x
I always wanted to fight an impossible battle against incredible odds.

I agree, 100%...  there used to be so much vitriol for the "win the war" players... that's such a huge part of Aces... some people stay in that mode seemingly forever.  What's wrong with that?

I had some of my best times gaming flying/tanking with the Devil Dogs... The average skill level in this game is so much higher than other games out there because people stick around so long (not to mention the engine fidelity allows people to really push the envelope in a lot of scenarios) it's a really great feeling for a newb to up in a big formation of bombers and travel in a pack.

Same thing with fighter sweeps... all the crying about hording... man, I LOVE to see a lot of red nowadays... didn't used to though.

Strat runs are a blast... seeing the lone Ta-152H and watching his approach... coming in parallel?  That's Snailman.  He'll make a perfectly timed turn in and make you jump from gun position to gun position to see him.  Nailbiters up there at 30k.

Fighting with Zoney 1v1 at 20-30k... where he apparently lives... I guess he has a KC-135 up there...

Relish in the combat... or go play something else for awhile, and when the eye candy "wow" wears off, start taking stock of what you AREN'T getting from that flashy new game... you'll be back.

Joined the knights at a base that was being overrun Last night looking for action.( 9pm west coast) I ran into JETSOM. Any time I see a ki I watch and expect it to be him, it's not always him of course, I went for it anyway. Yup, it was him. I was in the tower post hast. That was fun!   There was so much to choose from action wise I decided to do a jabo run from the boat on station and take out anything I could on a base away from the horde. On the way I noticed uppers below, Made the radar kill. The upper was INK (JETSOM). Went looking for him, got a few hits in him and he towered me again, no surprise, right? Now that was worth my pennies and my time. There is so much to do in the MA. I think I might see if INK will give me a lesson or tips on the ki84. I really like that plane. 15 a month is a steal for this game. Peace.

good times... :aok

If I remember correctly you had the chance to run away but never did....that is a great attitude and far more important then "score" "rank" "skill" and is the fast track to learning.

I would most certainly enjoy helping you out learning the Ki84.... :aok

tonight in the canyons will be good fun

and anytime you see me on, don't hesitate to ask for some TA time...it is much better for learning then the DA, we don't have to worry about re-upping....saves lots of time.

I like/love the game no need to really elaborate on that anymore.. but my concern at this time is just to get my financial act together (MAIN THING).. i can't in all honesty be throwin money around when I just switched to a new job and am counting change at the moment..
