X52 Problem
« on: May 01, 2014, 02:52:30 AM »
For some reason the pinky switch on the twist stick doesn't work in the game anymore. It doesn't map or work(I use it for flaps down)..In Windows Devices all buttons work fine including the pinky switch, all buttons light up in device properties.I even plugged in my backup X52 and the same result..It works fine in device manager but not in game..I tried installing Madcatz drivers, uninstalling drivers, even uninstalled/reinstalled AH but nothing.Any help would be appreciated. :airplane: Windows 7 Home Premium

Bring up the device properties window in which you check the buttons and leave it up. Then start the game, the button should work in-game then.

If i remember correctly, the pinky switch is the clutch button. Bring up the Saitek control panel, go to the MFD tab and on the bottom right is the clutch settings. Make sure that there is not a check in the 'Enable Clutch Mode' box.

Clutch mode button is labeled 'i' and is on the throttle lower knob under your thumb.

Huh? The pinkie switch is the latch your pinky on the twisty controls in order to switch modes from mode 1 to mode 1 + pinkie. In other words with SST it allows you to map two commands for a single button. One command is with the button itself and the 2nd command is the button + pinkie switch.

First off is the pinkie switch showing in your Sairek controller? It should be button #6. I dont see how the clutch mode should have any bearing but go ahead and uncheck it if its checked.

Now go to your SST software. First I have to know if you use SST or if you simply have pinkie mapped straight to the game and pinkie wont work that way. If thats the case it might be a bad map, most of all if its a macro so map the function to another key and then check it.

If the problem lies with SST make sure you havnt changed any settings in SST. You should have mode 1,2,3. The first 3 modes should have Mode 1 + pinkie in the middle. Mode 2 and 3 the same 2+pinkie, 3+pinkie. To the right are the 3 mode/pinkie controls. Before i get into that makes sure you explain your mapping correctly first.

I mistaken the pinky switch for the clutch button. Just as 633DH98 pointed out.
