A "Roll Camera" key for the film viewer
« on: May 25, 2014, 04:37:13 PM »
I like taking screen shots from films I have and using them for training material but there is only are only X, Y, and Z axis keys for the camera position using the keypad, arrow keys, and page up and page down. I'd like to see a roll camera key so, for instance, I can roll the camera level with the horizon and make the screen shots I use for training purposes a little less confusing.

If this function already exists then I apologize for wasting your time and please tell me the key for it!

Aren't you using the F5 view which always starts with a level horizon and presumably can return to it?

No, I will now. Thank you FLS!!!!  :aok

Only problem I can find with the F5 view right now, arrow keys don't work, so you can't get closer to planes, or off set the camera slightly. Can we get the arrow keys to work in this mode?

Also, page up and page down don't work. Would be useful if they did as well.

Use the zoom function. There is a trick to get close in F5. Start in the cockpit and zoom in all the way then go to F5. This resets the zoom limit.

F4 also has a level horizon with the same camera position as F3.

Wow, that's confusing to get used to, but it works. Still would like the left and right arrow keys and page up and down to work so I can off set the camera slightly to get the whole fight in frame.

Thanks for the info FLS! This'll help a bunch in screen shots.

There is also the set camera feature but I have yet to play with that. If you figure it out you should be able to set the camera any where you like.

My P47m youtube video was all F5 fixed view and zoom with no editing.
