I need advise on a quick trip to New York City (never been)

My wife is being sent to New York City next week for work for a few days. I am going to tag along with her. Neither of us has ever been to New York so if anyone has any MUST DO activities I am all ears. We will be there Wed-Sun next week. We are planning on the usual stuff so far (Statue of Liberty, Central Park, seeing a show on Broadway, Going up in the Empire state building (do they do that on weekends?), seeing Time Square, etc etc.) Please let me know what else we should do while there.  Wed, Thur, and part of Friday I believe we will be in Long Island. The rest of the weekend should be spent in the city. Hit me up with some ideas please and thank you.

Ill see if we can fit that in but I may pass on that suggestion if we run out of time.

Definitely take the tour bus, there are 2 areas covered ( 1 buss for each) . Walk Grand central station and have a cocktail @ the upper deck, then go to the Oyster Bar Lower deck. Walk Times square. Buy a hot dog from the street vendor. U like deli food, go to SECOND AVE DELI. WORLD FAMOUS. Visit the Theater area..

Actually he's part correct. I would definitely go to Brooklyn- Battery Park. Statue of Liberty tours and Water
Taxis, Helo tours. And it's not far from the new 9-11 memorials. Go to Times Square, walk to 134th St. and
go to the top of the Empire State Bldg. Great Pizza Shop across the street
Walk up 5th Ave & Shop. I love NY. Especially walking.

Good thing to keep your wallet in a safe place other than your back pocket. Maybe have a 2nd wallet in your back pocket with a few bucks and one credit card only.
