"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

We actually try to avoid HO's whenever possible and practical. However, to be completely transparent, during our last few encounters with you, it was actually you that initiated the HO. See here:

It's always a pleasure to fight a fine 47 pilot like yourself. In fact, we almost used some of the footage from some of the fights for our first montage.

-=S=- and see you in the skies.

I remeber that night. Those were some good fights. Admittedly, Hub and I screwed up on the first engagement.

Where's the vid from that night when Kreul went down and you ran all the way home? And the other where you tried to run home and failed?

Its possible I've caught you at bad times but it's been my personal experience that you do not try to avoid HOs at all. I would go so far to say its your primary mode of attack as some have eluded to in this very thread. Whether deserved or not, when I see Skyyr on the text buffer it pretty much think "HOing 190." What's funny about that is I don't think that about Kreul. He's pretty fun to fight.

Perhaps it's just me. But I doubt it.

I flew both with it and without it. It doesn't really provide an advantage 1v1 or even 1 v many, but it definitely helps with reducing workload when fighting. Being able to simply glance left (in real life) to look left in-game is immensely easier than trying to adjust a combo view with a keypad or hatswitch.

Its possible I've caught you at bad times but it's been my personal experience that you do not try to avoid HOs at all.

If you're packing superior firepower and are confident of superior gunnery, shooting head on is completely logical.

Though most of the shots in the video can only be called "HOs" if one is deliberately twisting the definition.  Shots on roped foes barely able to hang there and aim or front-quarter shots where the foe has nothing close to a gun solution are effective tactics, not to mention common practice in this game.

Don't like HOs? Avoid them, supposedly easy to do. Or aim better and send them back to the tower.

If their airplane goes boom and your does not, you chose the right tactic for the situation. If the opposite happens, you chose the wrong tactic for the situation. All else is rubbish.
