Credit of a kill

I think if you shoot down a plane ( I mean the plane is going down) and you get killed before it crashed, you should get credit  for it. I mean the plane is destroyed even if you are killed also.

You do get credit for it. It's just that you're dead in oblivion so you don't know anything.

If I get credit, why is it not posted on my Fighter kill list under score ? :headscratch:

Also disregard score. What difference does it make if you're brown anyhow?

Think about your question. You're asking to be awarded a kill for an enemy who is still alive after you're dead.

I wonder if there were any instances in WWII where a pilot shot down another plane then had to crash or ditch because their plane was not fully functional enough to make it all the way home.  Either by battle damage or wear-and-tear.

Also if any pilots were awarded kills post mortem.  Getting killed themselves after earlier in the sortie downing a plane.

What was the protocol in WWII for this as far as awarding kills?
