So disappointed...

I came to renew my account today. Game will not connect to the web. What worked before now does not. I spent a couple hours checking firewall, settings. Nothing is set any different from when it worked before. I checked previous forum posts... I dont have zone alarm. Internet is working great. So much for user friendly... Maybe its this (servers being moved...) I don't know. I checked everything on my end unless you have suggestions. It's windows xp with xfinity router/modem.

What version of the game (located in upper left startup screen)?  If it is too old, it will not find the servers.  The current version is 2.32 Patch 2.

Exactly what error are you getting and when does it happen?

Roger that, Ill reinstall. Ill be back with the error code if it doesnt work.

If you are using a firewall such as Zone Alarm, you will need to allow access tot he internet by pressing...

What version of the game is showing?

How fast does that error message come up?

Will the game run offline?

If you get those immediately, then then game is being hard blocked from accessing the Internet.  It is the same as unplugging your Internet, that is what the game is getting.

Does your router have a firewall in it?

I occasionally get that error message as well when first logging into AH for the day, though I have no problems connecting to any other online games.  A reboot of my computer seems to fix it and then the problem goes away until it pops its head randomly again.  This has only started to happen after the brief game server outage last week when the game was down for a couple of hours.

There were two incidents occurring in the last week which caused the login server to be slow to respond.  During those two times you would have gotten that message.
