It's funny how there was such a firestorm of threads about "perk the new Yak" when it came out, so many posts about how it was the new LA7 and unbalanced the game, and so on.
Now you barely see them or hear anyone talk of them much. I've been waiting for such a thread like this to come along, as I've been thinking about the Yak and what a sleeper it is now, compared to all the attention it got in the beginning.
Where does it sit now in some of the AH pilot's opinion? Is it a turn/angles fighter, and E fighter, sort of in the middle? Like Flench has said, it's guns aren't superb by any stretch, and good accuracy and aim and prediction is paramount with them, but so far as the aircraft performance, I'm interested in what everyone things is the best way to fly it, what its strengths and weaknesses are, and so on.
Again, I just find it a really interesting part of the game, a plane that was given SO much attention and praise, that has fallen from common use, unlike the first week or so it was around. I wish Lusche could chart it's use that first week or two, and compare it say to the last couple weeks.
