Sounds like you need a trainload of revolutionary alligators.

What you describe seems to be at least 40 percent of the corporate world. Don't kill yourself over it. It is very hard if you are conscientious not to get sucked into subsidizing a disfunctional organization. The problem is the fine line between being exploited and responsible. It doesn't help to keep buying the alcoholic more drinks.

Short version...

Store has a new GM... Useless as fawk... Doesn't even do daily's... Much less ordering...

Store does not have an assistant manager and prolly will not for the rest of the month...

Here I am "Senior Sales Associate" killing himself keeping the store afloat... And the only real assistance I'm getting is from another GM from another site...

Territory Rep doesn't give two sheets and Region, Rep well doesn't pick up or seem to know athe phone has been invented... The only shread of investigation is from loss control folks I contacted but there is little they can do unless there's a catestrophic # problem...

I should probably stop doing what I'm doing but not when the jobs and livelyhoods of my co-workers may be jepordized!

I don't know what to do anymore, I'm at a total loss...

Sound to me like you need to find a catastrophic problem... and make sure whoever's who finds out about it.

I'm thinking when people are saying to go over their heads they didn't read the part where I already went way over their heads by 2 levels... And trying to get at least the VP of Florida operation's email is proving bothersome...

And Dragon wtf is she still doing at waffle house...

Sometimes 2 levels is too much.  What you want is the person directly responsible for filling the position or one level above the person you have problems with.  If you go more levels above that, they often won't know the details, often won't value someone trying to contact them, and sometimes complain down the chain with a comment like "Why is this person contacting me about this instead of you?"  If that happens, it pisses off everyone up the chain from you.  Best is to go only as high as absolutely needed giving that person the opportunity to look good to the folks above him.

Very much in the process of making one... And won't be considered any sort of sabotage either...

And Brooke... As stated I would have never gone 2 levels up if I didn't plea to the Territory Rep which IS the direct superior to a GM and then went direct to the superior of the Territory Rep the Regional Rep and now I have sent in my plea to the VP of Operations of FL right after I witnessed the submission of the GM of another site that has been helping me to the VP as well...

As of now with the work week starting on Saturday I am at 37 hours on the clock... If you count hours from last Friday "which count for last week work week" I am at 47.5 with stints of 3-5 hours between shifts...

"I know wah wah wah poor baby"

Yes I am filing and backing up timecards, if I remember correctly the short timebetween shifts like that is illegal... Prolly wrong... I'll do research once I actually make some ZZZ face love with my pillow...

Has a problem GM been dumped on your location so that she can fail and be gotten rid of?

You will be a hero and a target by exposing yourself to management as willing to report management to management. Especially since I will venture none of her management you have contacted is making any written or verbal agreements to you in reward or in help for your actions so far. You are exposed and of your only initiative, so they are all free of entanglement with you.

She may be there on work improvement probation to either improve herself or give her management enough documentation to get rid of her. Enter yourself contacting her management uninvited. In the end you may help get rid of the problem GM but, someone has to pay for bucking management. Yes, they will be rid of a problem GM at the same time or, she will be improved and not happy with you. The problem GM's staff usually suffers during these soap operas.

Not knowing anything about your new GM's specific situation with upper management will get you blind sided. Unless you are reporting an "egregious violation" of company policy, or state\federal employment law. And her replacement may well be fully informed about your actions and not care for an employee like that.

Stop exposing yourself until you know much more about your GM's situation with the company. Management protects the company first. They can get more associates.

I suspect with your work schedule, you are far into sleep debt, and it's effecting your usual excellent analytical reasoning and self control. You will just get pooped on in this kind of soap opera in that state.

The answer is simple.
When nobody is looking. Shove the new GM into the trash compactor, press the button and sit back and wait for a new GM

Sheesh. Jersey guys gotta teach you folk everything?  ;)

Update...

Good news:

1) Company ordered a Senior Territory Rep and a Regional Rep from a different market to investigate not only the territory but the entire region as a whole with the sent Territory Rep to directly investigate the happenings of my store...

2) Redtape has been thrown out and instead of waiting until the beginning of next month an Assistant Manager will be appointed to my store immediately so I can expect within the week...

Bad News:

1) Because of the hurry up with the Assistant Manager they transfered 1 associate to make room for hours for the incoming Assistant Manager which now makes me down another Associate. "-1"

2) An associate unfortunately got hit by a car while riding his bike home which sadly puts me down one more associate... "why not keep the transfered associate" Answer is that the company just took them out of the system and will not put them back in if they choose to return to my store until Friday of next week.

So... Now that means all-in-all I'm down 3 associates and a Assistant Manager - however I can hopefully expect the Assistant Manager and Associate positions to be filled early in the week if the company pushed the re-transfer... And I would believe the new hiring will be done by the visiting Marketing Rep and not the useless GM.

I'm tired as fawk...

Sorry about your situation.  I have problems with one of our operators at work, I threw a wrench at him today.

I don't expect him to improve now, but it felt nice.

Hang in there sir.

Hehehe watching them drop like flies... Kinda...

Regional Rep has been demoted and being shipped off up north to a New Jersey market...

Marketing Rep has been fired by HR

GM has been fired by HR

Visiting Marketing Rep has now assumed role of GM until he gets another GM or someone into proper M-in-T

And my territory will get a Territory Rep from Jersey to fix this mess while the now demoted Regional Rep prolly takes the place. Unless he walks of course...

Dunno don't care what will happen to the Regional Rep position.

As far as I know the Visiting Marketing Rep will order adjacent GMs of the area to pitch in getting my store back on track and staffed to what we need...

Few more weeks of probable crap but at least the worst is over.... for now...
