ROTFLMAO!!!  That is priceless!

Now how about a 25000 lb grand slam instead?  They were used in larger numbers toward the end of the war.  That would do some damage with a blast radius of "x" K.  Granted it would have to be limited to the lancaster and only in singles (no formations of  three grand slams).  1 lanc with a grand slam could white flag a town if dropped properly (center of town) and would cost the player 5000 perks to use.  Not nearly as powerful as an atomic blast but if you're within the blast radius then you might be screwed, especially if you're in a GV.

No need to perk the grandslam, just strip the lanc of all guns, and add the extra weight to it :)

Grand slam & tallboys would not work in AHII right they all burrowed into the ground causing essentially an earthquake.
AHII terrains everything blows up on the surface.

They could be set with a certain amount of damage according to their historical effectiveness.  :old:

I understand the arguments for & against; the idea about your side wins the war is great.  I don't think we'll ever get one, but I would like to see one go off in the main arena!  I therefore suggest that instead of adding an A-bomb, add an enormous A-bomb like mushroom cloud explosion to the destruction of the HQ!!!!!  It would be great and could be seen for miles!  It would also be a good thing to have an all country map-wide FLASH illuminate the arena indicating to everyone that they should see who's HQ is an ash pit.  It would be worth it if just for the screen shot.

As far as the Tallboy goes... It should be added to a single unarmed Lancaster in a different slot to designate the A/Cs modification.  It should not be perked.  It should have the ability to instantly drop all town buildings in a single blow due to the foundational instability of 19th century brick & mortar construction.  It should have a 1/4 mile blast radius with an 8 thousand foot bomb arming distance,(to allow for burrowing velocity to be achieved & reduce effective bomb****ing).  Most importantly it should have the ability; not to kill a tank, but to flip any tank within its blast radius.  It could also have the ability to destroy quake sensitive base structures like ammo bunkers, radars, and fuel tanks.

The Grand Slam required a specially modified Lancaster to haul it. They took off the bomb bay doors and added some fairings, fitted souped-up Merlins and removed the front and upper turrets to save weight. The A bomb carrying B-29s also lacked turrets.

IIRC HTC have said in the past there is not likely to be any bomb bigger than what we already have added to the game.

Kind of surprised Furball's "Why we need Nookie" cartoon hasn't appeared in this thread yet.......
