Perks - Non-Transferable

The basic problem is that perks earned in EW or MW are transferable to LW; hence the first two, because of their lower populations, permit easy perk farming,

Whatever arena you earn your perks in, stays in that arena.  

It might change things a little for some people.  

However, I'm curious as to what the general consensus is right now, since this has been brought up before.

I agree, while I know not all do it. Some who use EW/MW use it as perk farming for LW. So, if you want your perks you can risk dying in the arena you want to spend them in.

I've always felt that the perks you earn in an arena should only be for that arena.

You can't really "farm" fighter perks in the early/mid arenas since all of the fighters are high eny.

You can get upwards of 100 bomber perks per sortie if you have 5 guys on one country rolling bases and you're the only guy in your country.

so the idea that 2 friends go to the far end of a map, one changes sides and parks and his friend crashes next to him or they take turns vulching each other, for proxy kills doesn't happen

Whole-heartedly agree.  It would either change the current atmospheres for the better, or empty those arenas entirely.  Useful to find out.

Who the heck cares

Judging by some of the comments, apparently, I'm not alone.

As for jets, I get one a year.

Rockets ? An amusing way to kill NOE bombers. And blow things up on the ground.

And as I only fly P-38s, perks mean nothing to me. Even landing isn't important. Its the fight.
And I die alot.

I remember once getting a couple PMs from a someone I shot down, with a move they didn't expect, telling me what a dweeb I was because I flew a P-38.
And that I would never be any good at AH because of it.
That runt is gone from AH & I'm still here . . . flying P-38s and having fun.

I don't care what anyone chooses to fly or what their tactics are.
As for me, I'll stick with the P-38s.

FYI, if you look behind the seat in a Lightning, you find where we stash the blender for Margaritas.

I am a midwar regular. My observations are that most of the players there don't play it it for perks. I know I don't. I have a total of 61,000 perks

You're right, most MW regulars don't play in there to farm perks but there is a small group of players that do go into the MW and EW arena just for the express purpose to farm perks in those arenas so they can afford ME 262s in the MA.
