Cool website there, in about 10 rolls I won 400+ playing the Don't, if only it were real. That site will help to refresh your knowledge of rules, odds, etc. quickly. You have to know the rules to begin with though.

I think the rules are elsewhere on the site.  My first and only trip to Vegas so far was last year, and while I have a passing familiarity with many games, I had no idea how craps worked.  So I just watched my friends play for a while and picked it up.  Took some advice (which was mostly right) on what bets to make.  Did pretty good.

Plan on making it a yearly trip with this same group of friends, so this next time I'm going to be all schooled on how to craps before I go.

Been so long I forgot DC was taken on 11 in NV, like a 2nd Don't Pass...it's been a while.

I like to play the Don't, it's a very different feeling. If you can win with the House and not celebrate in front of the other players (or do so quietly) it can really be a fun way to play. It is essentially winning on the exact same numbers that the Pass Line loses on. It has the same odds as the Pass Line. It pushes on 12. It feels like the deck is stacked against you when you DC's on 6 & 8.

I have my superstitions, but I only deviate from my strategy when I get a Don't come 4 or DC 10. I can buckle down on odds at that point, when Casino Royale had 100x odds I would lay some heavy odds in this situation; I've won big and lost badly doing it that way  :lol

I used to play so much that I could probably be a dealer, have to do odds calcs in my head a lot faster though; it's my backup plan if all else fails, lol.

Hookers, lots and lots of hookers.  :aok
`

LOL, while there are many; remember, prostitution is illegal in Clark County (thus Las Vegas). Legal brothels are all out of the county. Closest being in Pahrump I believe. And, for someone saying blow,  :huh ,  well, it is illegal everywhere.

There is so much to do here off the strip you would be surprised. If you like skiing/snowboarding, etc, Mt. Charleston's about an hour out of town with decent facilities. There are places to go dirt bilking/ATVing/dune buggies over near the base and at the other end of the valley too I believe. Ice/roller skating, horseback trail rides, museums all over town, NASCAR racing experiences, indoor go kart racing, etc... etc... not even listing things at Lake Mead; though chilly this time of year, still, boating dinners and tours are pretty nice. Too much stuff to list, so pick out what you like doing and do a quick internet search and you will find where to get it done here. Don't gamble more than you budget for, the casino's don't make so much money because they are easy to beat  :aok

Have fun, be safe!

Was a lil disapointed in the blue man group.
Pen and Teller are always good.(rather cheap too, compared to other show prices.)
Rio...has the best seafood buffet anywhere in the country.
Don't gamble...save your money and go to the Bunny Ranch...you can go to there website and check out there menu...its definatly a must do/bucket list thing to do!!

Made it back tonight and it was a blast!

I loved the blue man group and Mac King was ok. We also saw Fantasy (very provocative) and Madame Tussaud's wax museum was cool and looked very lifelike and we rode the  Slotzilla zip-line down Fremont street which was fun.

Our first day we walked from New York New York to the Stratosphere (around 7 miles round trip). The closer to the Stratosphere we got the cheaper the beer got ($1 16oz) so we where pretty tore up on our way back to the south end of the strip.
We also went to eat at 9 Fine Irishmen and and ate the most expensive meal of our lives. I feel like you get diminishing returns once your steak passes 25$ LOL.

I blew around 300-350$ gambling but had fun doing it, got lots of free drinks and was actually up 200$ at one point.

We went to the Pawn Stars pawn shop and that was a joke.

And the Hooters at the Hooters casino is the worst one I've ever been to as far are the food goes.

Our last day (yesterday) we went to Fremont Street and now I wish we had spent more time there. It had good music, cheaper drinks, nice looking bartenders and dealers, and just a nicer atmosphere plus the overhead screen was cool. I think that that was the Vegas that I was expecting, not the over rated "Strip" that is overpriced over crowded, and full of annoying people trying to sell me hookers, timeshares and their crappy bands CD's.

Fremont is very cool at night. I love the light show, but the crowd can get sketchy. I've heard they've made some changes to clean that up. There's also a new area called The Quad where they moved O'Shea's. Haven't been to Vegas since they've done it, but the people I've talked to that have say it's a lot of fun without all the upscale. Cheap tables, good music, beer pong, cheap drinks, hot staff. Sounds like my kinda place. Also, if all you're going to do is go from the strip to Downtown don't walk, ride the bus. It's $20 for a 3 day pass, but they're cheaper if you buy them at the Downtown Transit Center near Fremont. Save a lot of time and money running back and forth.
