There are good points in 8.1?
So far it has been a nightmare to configure and grab up all the third party software needed to make it do most of what Windows 7 did out of the box.
Her $15,000.00 printer is not supported in Windows 8.1, but it is in Windows 7 and that is the biggest issue. The Windows 7 driver does not work with 8.1. Just awesome. Come to find out, none of the three printer/scanner devices we have will work with Windows 8.1, but work great with Windows 7 or Linux.
Had I known about the lack of printer support available, I would have gone a different route. I hate mobile devices. Every day I go home I am dreading to hear about the next thing she cannot get to work.
Oh, to keep it on topic. Windows 10 drops more support for more hardware.
