If anyone is interested in this era, Benard Cornwell has a great series of books that deals with the Ragnar's sons Ubba Ivar and Halfdan. Another historical titbit, Rollo becomes the first duke if Normandy, both William the Conquerer and Robert E Lee are his direct descendants.

True.  But in fairness, isn't Shakespeare as well?  Better written dialog surely, but at its heart any different?

Well I got all caught up only to find out that Ragnar et al are taking two weeks off before attacking ghey Pairee. But....a little investigating, and I found that episode up at http://www.history.com/shows/vikings/videos

First season was the grabber... loved it.... Then it was watered down. I Still watch, hoping for a glimpse of the first seasons approach to the show up again.

Don't like how they've moved away from the pilot.  :mad:
