Beta By Now...

Just thinking the game should at least be in beta by now, or at least give a clue of how things are progressing.

Not to be a jack... but why would you think that? Is there some special time limit from the forming of the alpha testers that the beta must be released by?

From the comments hitech made about adding clouds I'd guess that they haven't finished adding what they plan to for the next version yet. Once they finish the add in like clouds and so on for the alpha then we will get to see the beta. Depending on how much more they are adding I'd say mid to late summer for the beta. Full release by Christmas.  This stuff takes time, especially with a small team.
