Everyone needs to remember that life doesn't mean civilization on another planet or the evolution of existence of another intelligent species. They can just be microorganisms...which, we have already found on Mars. Of course fossilized so they no longer exist as a living life form there. Or so we commonly think...

Fermi's paradox illustrates both the futility of life and the absolute necessity that it exists.  The universe is unimaginably huge.  To think we are the only intelligent ones that exist is unabashedly arrogant.  Earth does not exist for us any more than the entire universe exists for us.  What arrogance and confidence does this mere queef on our own insignificant speck of dust warrant us?  Whatever the age of the Earth is according to any of any side, be it 4000 or 4000000000, it doesn't change the fact that our universe is pants toe jam tingly huge(LOL, can't say what I wanted).  Nobody can account or answer for that, I don't care how much faith or reason you have.  It will be and has been countered.  But, enough of my soap box and philosophy, that is a damn awesome video.  Thanks for sharing.  Wish I could have been there. :salute

I have banded ironstone that is 4.3 billion years old.   It is the size of a brick and weighs around 30 pounds.    I also have a piece of "Kaladar Conglomerate" right by my porch steps that is only found in Ontario and Scotland.

What an  apocalyptic lightning scene in this volcanic eruption ;
I seen good photos and videos like this ,3-4 years ago ,during the eruption in Iceland; they dont know sure whats causing this electric discharge :  The Earth is like a juicy hot orange fruit ; There must be something watching and maintaining the balance in this 3-4 miles  thick livable layer; molten lava under our feet , killer solar and cosmic radiations and particles above our heads; This doesn't make sense , I don't believe in chance.Somebody is out there watching us.

hmmm  :headscratch: Ice and water can form a static charge why cant rock ice and water form a charge.  Ever read about lightning from forest fires or the thunderhead of a fire cloud dropping causing massive winds in all directions spreading fire more.

Now THAT will cause climate change... :old:

Glad you brought that up. It will be interesting to see the effects on what this volcano will do to the climate. In my post recently during those conspiracy chemtrial threads, I explained that  only valcanoes would be powerful enough to actually affect the atmospheric globe at a fast rate. Think about the tons and tons and tons of compounds this volcano shot into the sky. Think about the energy it took to make that happen. It is something no man could fathom to create at this time. Once we see the global effects of this volcano we will be able to tell if it actually effected the climate of the earth. It will be interesting to see if it even makes it to our part of the atmosphere in North America. Do you think it would heat the earth or cool the earth or not be big enough to effect it? Still that is a bazallion compounds, probably 10X more than all of the south american human compound creation combined yearly. Fascinating to say the least.  This is why you simply cannot undermine the earth and mother nature.

Might possibly just cause storms. No climate change as it can't cause temperature rise and doesn't block out enough of the sun to cool a lot of temperatures below average. It is quite interesting, however that is has power to do either, even in just that small region.

If I remember rightly there was volcano responsible for the cold winter in the mid 1880's. Will have to look back..
What about St Helen's didn't that do something

I think I've heard of a volcano changing winter temps sometime around that part of the century I'm not sure though. I used to read about volcanoes maybe last 8 years ago so I don't remember too much on actual events. As for Mount St Helens all I remember is it doing is making the mountainside look like Iwo Jima and leaving a crap load of ash all over the place. Not saying that's all it did of course..

Quite a vague memory of it lol

I was skirting the edge of the rules in a facetious manner, but being truthful at the same time.  I agree with you BTW.

I do not believe in man-made global warming - I think it is one of the most perpetuated lies of the past 50 years.  However, a volcano, or any God-made event such as that volcano erupting, can very well influence climate change.

Why? Since we've already proved that global temperatures have increased over the past 50 years, which is also coincidentally the same time man had a massive population increase, with use of more man-made materials, vehicles, and then factories that omit greenhouse gases and still the change in temperature still isn't because of that?

Now yes volcanoes can and do influence climate change, but by no means add extra degrees, but as we've seen, lower temperatures. The only sane thing left to assume would be mankind.

I said climate change - not global warming.  and there is no proof whatsoever that mankind has influenced a change in the climate.  There are "scientific models" that these theorists, to include barry obama, lean toward and decry they are proof - but that just is not the case.

And yes, any change in temperature in the past fifty years cannot be linked with proof to any change in the population.  I invite anyone to show credible evidence (lack of assumption).

There are over 30 billion metric tonnes of carbon emissions into our atmosphere every year. That is 100 more than that of volcanic emissions yearly, there is simply no way it is not us, we've been producing massive amounts of pollution since the Industrial Revolution. And yes population increase would most definitely contribute to more emissions. As we grow in population we have demands for more energy, more materials. It's the same as it has been since our existence, more people more food, shelter, water, then money, territory, everything. So as we grow now so does everything with us.

With the massive amounts of CO2 we produce, saying global warming isn't the truth is comparable to saying we don't omit any greenhouse gases at all.

This graph tells pretty much about Co2 levels in the atmosphere:
